Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

This was my first day off this week and I was sooooo exhausted!!  My friend Jessica and I went for margaritas after work on Wednesday night after 3 long days of work. 

 

 

I knew I was on call on Thursday so we made sure to get home at a decent time. 5 o'clock Thursday morning came really early, my phone rang and I knew that meant I was being called into work. I ended up being there all day. I was so tired that night!

I at least got to sleep in this morning till 8.  I didn't have any plans to do anything but I did need to get a shirt for a bachelorette party next weekend.  I went to hang out with Niki that night.  We watched some bad movie with Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper in it, then we watched Fast and the Furious 6 and that was really good!!

 

Saturday

I had seen a pin on Pinterest on how to do your own "shellac" manicure at home without the curing light so I went to get some groceries for the week and the stuff to do my nails. 

I think they turned out ok, lets just see how long they last!

It was Chad's birthday so we all got together at Mike & Niki's for a cookout and to just hang out.  We all ate and got a drink and went to sit outside while the kids were playing.

Sunday

I mostly watched a bunch of Friday Night Lights and did some laundry.  I knew it was hot outside and I didn't have any type of water to be in so I decided it was a good idea to just stay inside!!

Friday

I got up and ran some errands.  Niki and I of course did some shopping.  I got this new mascara thanks to Kate at TheSmallsThingsBlog.  I love it!!!  The brush is amazing!!!

 

Saturday

I was going through Kiki La'Rue's instagram account looking for outfit ideas and I LOVE LOVE LOVE these 2!!  Niki bought me that Lenore scarf so I have that, but the heather gray essential is sold out every time I go to order it. 

And this outfit, I ordered the navy leggings and I got a sweater from Target, then with the Lenore scarf and the boots I already have....tada....my version of this outfit!!

 

Sunday

A bad storm passed through, but luckily, we didn't have any damage around here.  My friends and I made plans to all be together today, it's been a year since Chad passed.  Mike & Niki had everybody over at their house for dinner.  We had lasagna, salad, garlic bread, wine and lots of desserts.  It was a nice time, I'm glad we were all able to be together.

It was a hard day, I cried too much, I thought about you all day long.

The sadness is almost to much, I miss you terribly.

I know I have you as my guardian angel now, you've shown me a couple of times on my way to work that's for sure!!  I appreciate it!! 

I hope you had one heck of a party in heaven Chad!

I spent the day shopping with Niki & the boys.  We had lunch too!!  We went to Dawson's ball game that night then had pizza and blizzards for supper.  We were all ready to crash that night!!

 

Saturday

I got up and did some shopping.  I had been wanting some dresses that I could wear casual or dress up if I needed to.  I find a cute black one, a coral one and a strapless green one with a design on it.  I also got some cute new flip flop sandals and Maurices's was having a really good sale on jewelry and I stocked up!!!  Later on that night I met some friends out.

I was so excited about the concert tonight that I didn't even sleep as late as I wanted to.  I called Niki and talked to her for a while and we decided what we were going to wear.  (Just like in middle school when you used to call your friends to pick out your outfit for the next day....well 20 years later and we still do it!)  I got up and got ready then headed down to Niki's to get her.  She was finishing getting ready and I still hadn't decided what jewelry to wear.  Then we were on our way!!!  Package tour here we come!!!

I have to say it was the BEST CONCERT I have ever been to!!  They all 3 put on an amazing show and I would totally go see them again tomorrow if I could.  Boyz II Men were definitely my favorite!!  I sang every single song they sang.  When they all stood up there in a row and the music came on for "It's so hard to say goodbye", Niki lost it and then I did.  We never thought it would be that hard to listen to a song but it was.  I can't believe it's already his birthday month, I still think of Chad every day and miss him like crazy.  When I was driving home the night of my birthday, I got in the car and "Over you" by Miranda Lambert was on, then it was "See you again" by Carrie Underwood.  I cried and then I totally knew it was Chad!!

It was a fun filled birthday weekend!!!  I can't believe it's already July!!

As I look back on pictures and think about all the times we spent together, I just continue to realize that none of us will ever have that again.  I just can't even imagine how it's going to be now when we're all together without him. 
I know he's watching over all of us now. 
I'm going to miss him so much.
Everybody will.
I just can't put it into words how I'm feeling, I'm just sad and heart broken.
