Weekend Wrap-Up

Ok, I know I have been a total slacker when it comes to blogging....woops!  I didn't even get to finish the blog challenge.  Working 2 jobs and going out of town this past weekend meant no time for blogging!!  Of course, I still found time to read all of them!!

Friday
I came home from work and slept all day then got ready for my 2 job.  We had an awesome night at the restaurant which in turn means a lot of money in my pocket!!  I came home and watched some tv then decided to run and get groceries.  It gets more and more expensive every time I go!  I keep telling myself that I'm buying healthy things and not junk so that's why. 

Saturday
I got up, packed my bags then headed off to Tennessee for my friend Tonya's wedding.  I made a little pitstop in Paducah to go to TJMaxx & Chick-fil-a!  YUM!!  Then once I got back on my way I thought I only had a little over an hour to go.  WRONG!  My GPS and directions I printed off were not correct!  Thank goodness my sister had the right directions and they were already there so I just talked to her till I found it through her directions. 

The wedding was on a golf course down a very big hill so golf carts were necessary!

The wedding and reception was outside and it got rather chilly that night...Madelyn stayed warm!  We left the reception and all went back to our hotel to hang out.  It was so fun to just hang out and get to talk.  I love those girls so much!!

Sunday

We all got up and ate breakfast at the restaurant at the hotel.  Everybody went their separate ways to head home.  Becca, Todd & I were all going to drive through Murray to visit our Alma Mater.  We were a little disappointed that the bookstore was closed because of fall break.  We decided to walk around campus. 

Murray has a "shoe tree" on the quad.  If a couple meets on campus while attending the university and they get married you take one of his shoes and one of hers and nail them on the tree.  There are some old shoes on that tree!!  The pink flip flop and the black one behind belong to my friends!!

I finally made it home and made the mistake of doing laundry instead of sleeping before I had to go into work that night.  I definitely paid for it that night!!

Friday
So Friday I got up and was so excited to get my stuff all together and leave!!  We were all meeting at Mike & Niki's and leaving from there.  Niki and I decided to go ahead and start the party before we left!!  Everybody got there and we loaded up the 2 trucks and hit the road!!

We got there and checked in to our room and were so surprised at how nice it was!!  It was exactly like the pictures looked!!

We just hung out there for awhile.  We sat outside and drank and talked for a while then headed to the restaurant in the other building.  Pretty good food!!

 We decided to go out after we ate but I didn't take my camera.  It was a little bar with karaoke, a beer pong table, some pool tables and lots of fun!!!  We got there early and there weren't any other people there but that changed pretty quickly!!  It ended up being really fun but was a little too smoky for me!!  Some people had a little more fun than others....

Saturday

FLOAT DAY!!! We all got up around 8 and started getting our stuff together for the trip. We were all so excited!! I took a few pictures before hand with my real camera and brought a water camera for the float. I'll have to add those later or just do another post with just those pictures....who knows how they will turn out!!

After we got off the lake (about 8 hours later) we showered and changed clothes so we could go get something to eat.  Once again, Chad got my camera and took these pictures...

After dinner, we all headed back to the room and sat outside for a while and talked.  Everybody was so tired so we all headed to bed except for Chad, he went to the bar again!  The rest of us crashed!!

Sunday

We were up early again today but not in the same good moods we were in yesterday!  We all got ready, packed up and headed out.  We stopped at Lambert's for some dinner and then finally made it home.  Then it was the not so fun part of unpacking and cleaning my apartment.  It was a mess from working the 3 days in a row before we left!!  It was such a great weekend!!  Now it's time for me to start working night shift as of tomorrow....kinda nervous about that!!  We'll see how it goes!!

I worked all day, a very busy day. 

Saturday
Woke up to my phone ringing at 5:10 a.m.!!  I overslept, I was supposed to be at the restaurant to open at 5a.m.!!  I had set my alarm for p.m. instead of a.m.  I got up and made it there by 5:33 with clean hair, fresh makeup and brushed teeth!!  SUCCESS!!  It was an ok morning.  After that I headed to get my nails done (I'm loving this new shellac) and then back to Marion to pack and then meet Laryssa to head out of town.  We had so much fun driving up there and talking the whole way.  Once we got there the girls were already out at a place in town that you have to get to early so you can get a table.  The place is called Fast Eddies and boy were we surprised when we got there!  The place was huge and completely packed and it was only 5:30 when we got there.  We took a couple of pictures...

We told some guy that it was Laryssa's 21st Birthday and he gave us $20 to buy her a beer! 

This guy came up to Brittany and asked if she was single, of course she is not but he asked if she would take a shot with one of his buddies.  She did and they were gone for several rounds of shots and then finally came back to our table with more shots.   

Then the guy wanted to use my fancy shmancy camera and this is the picture we got! 

Sunday

After about 4 hours of sleep we all got up and started getting ready for the shower.  Andrea is getting married in June and this was her first bridal shower.  She had a great time and got lots of nice things!!
