January Wrap-Up

I'm going to try really hard to get back to regularly scheduled blogging but I just don't know if I will or not. We'll see!!  I'm just gonna have to wrap up January and then maybe get back to weekly blogging again!  Also, I am doing this on my iPad because I think my laptop has finally bit the dust....have to get a new one of those soon, especially with school starting back in March!  I'm so slow at typing on the iPad 😜

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I got up way early so I could be at the restaurant at 5am to open.  I had gotten a spray tan the night before and didn't want to take a shower yet because it hadn't been done for 12 hours yet.  I did go ahead and wash my face before I put makeup on but it didn't really help, my face got darker and darker as the day went on.  All the old men kept asking me if I had gone to Jamaica or the Bahamas and I kept having to tell them it was a spray tan....they then said oh....they had no idea what I was talking about!!  HA!!  It was actually pretty funny but I was tired of answering the question by the end of the day.  I came home and showered and felt a million times better.  I ran to Target to get some things and was so happy to remember it was half price frappuccino hours from 3-5 and I was just in time!!  I got the new caramel crunch and it was so good!!! 

I then went to Maurices to look around and I'm so glad I did, they had a sweater on clearance that I had been wanting but never could find and also some shoes that I wanted but they were sold out of.  I'm guessing someone returned the shoes because they were the only ones and in my size!!  It was a good shopping day!!  I came home and got ready to go to dinner with a guy I'm dating-we'll call him T.  We went to Fujiyama, his choice and I was so glad that's where he picked.  He had told me about how he didn't like sushi.  I told him he probably just hadn't had the right one, I ordered my favorite and he loved it!!  Loved it so much, he ate more of it than I did!!!  Success!!  We ate dinner and then hung out at my house and just watched a movie.  He left after the movie and then I went to bed because I had to be up early for work the next morning.
Saturday
I worked form 6-2 then went to Goreville for a birthday party.  It was not raining but still cold and it was at the park.  He had so much fun with his friends and it was such good cake!!  I stayed to help clean up and load up the cars then headed back home to take a shower so I could go to T's house.  He was cooking dinner!!
Sunday
I got up early and then ended up taking a long nap on the couch.  I wanted to run to the mall to look at some jeans and bathing suits but slept too long.  I talked to T and he needed to run to get a birthday present for his nephew so we ran to town to do that and then went to BWW to eat dinner.  We came back to his house to hang out. 

I posted this picture on Instagram and the questions immediately started....I haven't answered any yet but did get a text from my mom about how I needed to fill my sister in!!  It was a great weekend!!!

My 4 year Blogiversary!!!

Friday
I worked at the restaurant all day, ran a few errands after work then came home to pack for the weekend.  I headed down to Niki's to hang out with her.  We went to the school for PTA's bingo night.  I won several times, it was a lot of fun.  We came back to her house and finished getting our stuff together for the weekend.
Saturday
We got up at 4am to head to St. Louis for the Color Run.  It was misting rain and in the 40's, we weren't very optimistic for it to be warm and sunny!  We slept a little in the car and were ready to go when we got there.  We were so cold though!!

It was one of the most fun things I've ever done and I'm so glad I got to do it with some of my best friends and sister!!  After we were done, we were really hoping we could check into our hotel early so we could get out of the rain and get a shower.  Niki and I went in to the hotel, we batted our eyes and talked about how cold and wet we were and just wanted a shower....they got us into our hotel before 11am...check in wasn't until 3!  We were so thankful!!!  We all showered and then got ready for the Cardinals game.

She got us such great tickets for the game!!  Our seats were under an awning or we could sit inside.  It was all you could eat and all you can drink!!  It was amazing!!

We headed back to the hotel to change our clothes again so we could go out.  We went to the Big Bang, which is a dueling piano bar!!  It was so much fun!!!

We woke up around 9am and headed back home.  It was still kinda rainy and gloomy....perfect day for a nap that was much needed!!  I did laundry and cleaned my bathroom also then I went and had dinner with a guy I had gone on a date with a few days ago. 

It was one of the best weekends ever!!!!

Friday
Oh this is very late but I'm doing it anyway.  On Friday I didn't do much during the day but of course, went that night to hang out with my BFF because that is what Friday nights consist of!  We hung out and talked and played with the baby.  It was a good night!

Saturday
I was off from both jobs all weekend so I had a lot of time to get stuff done.  I was lazy thought and didn't make it to the gym...no other reason besides being lazy.  I have got to get with it!!  Some friends were all getting together that night to play cards.  I actually played a little and won once!!  We hung out for a long while then when I went home I got pulled over.  Lucky me, I just got a warning, not that I should have been pulled over in the first place.  I'm sure the cop thought I was either drunk or out past my curfew!  HA!!

Sunday
I got up and got ready for a date a friend of mine set me up with.  We had a nice time but it was not a love connection.  I came home and cleaned up some and then watched some more Downton Abbey.  I'm loving that show!!

Weekend Wrap-Up (A week late...)

So last weekend, one of my best friends got married.  I drove home on Thursday after working all night then going to a Dr's appointment.  I was exhausted by the time I got to my parents house.  I talked to mom for a while then was planning on meeting Danielle but ended up falling asleep.  I talked to her after I woke up and she had plans that night so I ran to the mall to try to find something to wear for the rehearsal dinner the next night.  It was a failed attempt so I just headed home and would just wear something I brought with me. 

Friday
I woke up and went to my pedicure appointment and the wedding detail phone calls started!!  Me, the bride, the maid of honor and the matron of honor finished up some small details and then I headed over to my spray tan appointment.  I love the spray tan!!  I met the bride and her mom and sister at the rehearsal dinner site to decorate and then we all headed home to get ready.  We met at the ceremony site at 4p.m. and it was all a whirlwind from there!!

After the rehearsal, we headed to The Pub for dinner and it was so good.  We had birthday cake since it was the matron of honors birthday.  We all made it through without crying which was good because tomorrow was gonna be a whole different story!!

Mom made brunch for all of us then I got ready and headed back to IL for a date.  A second date in fact, with a guy named Josh.  We had a great time!!!  Maybe one of these days I will go in to greater detail but right now I'm just enjoying it!!

Friday
I had a nail appt at 10 then was planning on getting all of my errands done.  I got groceries, went to Dillards and then to Target.  I was sad that I didn't find anything at Target...surprising huh??  I came home and ended up falling asleep.  I know that sounds like I'm lazy but my body just doesn't stay awake during the day, it's so used to having to stay up all night.  Anyway, I got up and got ready to head in to work at 3.  We had a pretty slow night because the weather was so nasty.  Cold and rainy...that just makes everybody want to stay in!!  I came home and watched Grey's Anatomy!

Saturday
I was supposed to go meet Andrea at a cheerleading practice but I turned off my alarm instead of snoozing....woops!!  I got up and did a little shopping and found some fabulous new jeans!!  Miss Me and Rock Revival, I'm pretty sure they have replaced Silvers!  So I got home and kept myself busy cleaning up and doing dishes and laundry so I couldn't get nervous about my date later on that night.  EEk!! 

Sunday
Slept in for most of the day so I could stay up to work all night tonight and the next 3 nights.  I made banana bread and finished laundry.  Now it's time to get ready for work because the sooner it's over the sooner I'm home to see one of my BFF's tie the knot!!!!  YAY!!!  Be ready for picture overload next weekend!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I was scheduled to work at the restaurant 11-7 so I was there right on time and had a pretty busy day but dinner was a little slow.  I'm pretty sure b/c of the rain, so I got to get out of there about 30 minutes early.  I was happy because I needed to get home to get ready for my date {details on how that even came about later}.  The date was wonderful and got to hang out with some great friends, got home much later than I was planning considering I had to be up the next morning by 5 to be at work by 6.

Saturday
I made it into work on time and wasn't nearly as tired as I thought I would be.  My friend texted me about coming in for breakfast {my friends, their kids and the guy I went on a date with} and so they got there at a good time, because we weren't too awful busy and so I got to talk to them for a while.  After breakfast was over I was completely exhausted!  I sat down for a while before lunch started and that helped me get a little energy back.  I was almost done working when my friend Danielle and her fiance got there.  We were going out for a friends birthday that night and Danielle came over to surprise her.  We left the restaurant and came back to my house to get ready.  We eventually were able to get ahold of somebody who was in the group to find out where they were.  They were doing a wine trail and had already been to the 4 wineries and was now back at the beginning.  Needless to say, when we got there it was well known they had already been to 4 wineries!!  She was very surprised and started crying when she saw Danielle!!  It was a fun time but we were ready to leave and get some dinner way before everybody else.

So, the 3 of us headed back in to town and had dinner and had planned to meet back up with them but that didn't work out.  We ended up going to another friends house to hang out for a while.  By the time we got back to my house I was exhausted!  The 2 hours of sleep I got the night before had finally caught up with me and I was out before my head hit the pillow I think!!

Sunday
I slept so hard that I didn't even hear Danielle and Jeremiah leave in the morning to go to the Cardinal's game.  When I got up I went to the gym and ran to the grocery store to get just a few things to make it through my 2 work days.  I had a horrible headache when I got home so I took a little nap on the couch.  I got up, got ready for work and worked all night!!

Fabulous Valentine's Challenge: Day 2

Day 2:  Love Telling This Bad Date Story - Worst Date Ever

My worst date ever is not that bad but still a funny story to tell.

I was set up by my friends.  Her husband worked with this guy and thought he would be a good catch.  I saw pictures of him and thought he was good looking and thought I should give it a try.  Well, first of all, he called and talked to me one time and then it was like he fell off the face of the earth.  Months later he finally decided that maybe he would call again.  Several days later, maybe even a week or two, we finally had a date set to go out.  We decided to meet at the restaurant we were going to eat at and then decide if we wanted to do anything after that.  I also very rarely let a guy come pick me up on a first date, have to be ready to make a quick getaway if needed!!  So we meet outside, I was there first, and my first impression was that he was short.  I always ask whoever is setting me up about things like height so I was a little prepared.  Aren't most the tall, dark and handsome guys taken anyway?? 

Ok, back to dinner, we sit, talk, order and talk some more.  I have no clue what we talked about now but I can probably assume we talked about our families and school.  So, the most awkward part of the night was coming up, he asked me a question.  That question was "What's your favorite kind of cheese?"  I about choked on what I was eating!!  Who asks that??  I had no idea what my answer would be, I looked at him, like ARE YOU SERIOUS??  So, I answered it with "colby jack I guess" and I have no idea why that was my answer, I mean, I like it but not sure I would say it's my favorite! 

So, the rest of the night was fine.  We finished dinner and then he asked where I wanted to go.  We went to a little bar up town and watched a basketball game that was on.  I started getting a headache around 10 and had to be at work early the next morning so I decided to call it a night and headed home.

We did not go out on anymore dates and I don't think we even talked much more after that, maybe a time or two.  It wasn't because of the cheese question.

Fabulous Valentine's Challenge: Day 1

Day 1: Loved this Date/Best Date Ever

I can't pick just one specific date out but I do have a certain type of date that is my favorite.  I loved when my boyfriend at the time would come to college and just hang out with me.  We would go out to eat and then go watch a movie or come back to my dorm room to watch a movie.  It's still my favorite type of date.  I love to just hang out together and talk or watch tv or something.  One of these days I'll get to do it again!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
This was the 1st day of my several days off in a row.  I got a text from my friend Lori at about 6am asking if I could work for her at the restaurant because she was sick, I said sure!  I worked from 7-3 there and made pretty good money.  Then I had to run to the hospital to fill out a piece of paperwork I could have done over the phone, all well.  I then went to the mall to look at some dresses for the weddings and such I have coming up later this spring and summer--no luck.  I really wanted to do something but I was tired and knew that I would be getting up early in the morning to work at the restaurant again. 

Saturday
I worked at the restaurant from 5-11.  Then I ran to Target and Wal-Mart to get a few things.  I then met Deana at her house to go on a walk.  We realized we weren't walking very fast but when we crossed paths with 2 other women walking at a much faster pace we just laughed and laughed.  They were much faster and much thinner!!  We told them that if we were walking as fast as they were we would be thin too!!  They laughed!  We crossed paths with them again later on in the walk and we all laughed and they said that they didn't start off that fast!!  I hung out with her at her house for a while then came home to get ready for my date.  We met at Applebee's and then went to have a drink somewhere else.  I was so tired from getting up in the morning to work at the restaurant that we called it a night after that.

Sunday
B-E-A-UTIFUL day!!!  It was already a warm day when I went to church.  Deana and I walked after church, we didn't see those 2 women again but we did pick up the pace today!  I came home and freshened up to run to Target then went to a Bridal Shower form my friend Caryn that I work with.  It was at Mackies Pizza...YUM!!  After that I came home and just sat on the couch and watched a bad movie.  Now it's time for Sunday night shows (except Brothers & Sisters) and then bed.  I live such an exciting life, I know!  Here's to another great week!!
