Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

I was on standby from work for a few hours that morning but got called in around 9.  I went to work but didn't do much and they let me go back on standby around noon.  We had all ordered chinese so I stayed and ate with everyone. 

That's a good fortune if I say so myself!!

I decided to go to the mall and do a little shopping.  I got some new shoes, a few shirts and a maxi dress.  I had been looking for a maxi dress for a while and finally found one at Old Navy on clearance.  When I left the mall this is what it looked like....

A storm was brewing!

I literally got down the road about 10 minutes and was called back into work!!  It had gotten really busy and they had to have my help.  I worked the rest of the day and then came home to get ready to go home for Mother's Day.

 

Saturday

I got up, packed my car and headed home.  I had a few errands to run when I got there and then it was back home to get ready for my parent's friends garden party.

We spent the day at my grandparents house, eating good food and dessert and sitting outside enjoying the nice weather before the rain starts this week!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

I really needed to mow my lawn today but didn't get the chance to.   I did get a weed eater though so as soon as I can get my lawn mower back from my neighbor I will be all set.  I got ready and went to Niki's for her husbands birthday party.  We all had a really good time even though the Cardinals lost.

 

Saturday

I got up early and headed home to my parents house.  Mom and I hung out all day, went for a walk, ate some lunch then sat outside and enjoyed the pretty weather!

We were out there for about 2 hours and both got some sun.  I came in and started getting ready for another friends birthday party.  I headed over there and helped them finish up some things.

We had so much fun, it was like an old college party!!  We played flippy cup, beer pong and boom.  It was so much fun!! 

 

Sunday

I slept in, visited with my mom and older sister and then packed up my stuff and headed home.  I really needed to mow my grass.  I asked my neighbors husband to show me how to get the mower started and how to empty the bag.  It was definitely not as easy as I thought it was going to be.  His wife, who I work with and is a friend, came over and we were talking as he was trying to fix up the mower.  She ended up going to get her riding mower and mowed it for me.  Thank goodness for wonderful neighbors!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I got up way to early so I could be at the restaurant at 4:30 am to open!  It was a good day but I was so tired!  I left there at about 1:15 then made the drive to Evansville to spend the weekend there.  I was so tired driving and T totally saved the day when he called and talked to me for a long time so I could stay awake.  I made it home and took a little nap then ate dinner with my parents.  I then went to visit with some friends.  I, of course, had to stop by Lic's Ice Cream and get some choco-creams to take with me.  Danielle had stopped and gotten some too!  We played Phase10!  Have you all played that??  It is so fun!!  We called it a night and I headed home to try to catch up on Grey's Anatomy and then crashed!

Saturday
I was up pretty early and waited for Lindsay to get there so we could go run.  Well, she ran more than I did but I tried to keep up with her till the end when I skipped a road or two.  We then did some upper body then lower body and stretched.  Our neighbor came out and asked if she could join us and reap the benefits through osmosis!  She was too sweet!  We got ready then headed to the mall to do some shopping.  We found some really cute stuff and stopped to get Starbucks while they were still having their half off frappucino happy hour!!  We finally made it back to the house so we could all hang out and eat some great food off the grill.  We ended up watching Safe Haven and it was so good.

Sunday
Lindsay and I got up at about 6:30 so we could meet Michelle at the gym and workout.  Wish we could do that everyday together.  We came home and got ready then went out to Grandma and Grandpa's to celebrate Mother's Day.

We ate way too much then went upstairs and took a little nap.  That getting up early and working out totally meant we needed a nap!  We all came back home and packed up to get back to our other homes.  It was a good weekend and I can't wait to be back to celebrate Maddie graduating from 8th grade here soon.  Once I got home, I unpacked and started on laundry.  T & I had plans to hang out so once he got home I headed over there.  It was such a fun weekend and I'm so looking forward to this one also!!

I'm totally slacking on blogging, I know but life is busy right now and I'm living it up and can't wait for a fabulous summer!!  I still plan on keeping it up because it is my scrapbook!!

Mother's Day

Don't worry I have a whole weeks worth of posts all about the Wedding that will be coming up soon....probably at least one later on today!!

Sunday I got to spend all day with my mom!!  Even though we spent the entire day cleaning up wedding decorations and putting them all in boxes to store.  I'm pretty sure I have the best mom ever!!  I have no idea what I would do without her!!  She has always been there when I need to talk, cry, rant and rave, laugh and anything else.  Thank you Mom for always being there for me, I love you!!!
