Weekend Wrap-Up

Starting a little early this week....this was on Wednesday

Some girls from work got together for dinner and drinks at one of the best Mexican restaurants we have. It was $5.99 margarita pitchers night!!!

Friday

I got standby today from work and didn't get near as much done as I wanted to.  I was hoping to bring a little luck to my Hoosiers but not so much. 

I hung out with Niki and family that night and put together a shelf...we were much more productive at her house than I was at mine!!

Saturday

I got up and went to the gym.  I did body pump then stayed for spin class.  It hurt so good!!  I don't burn near as many calories in the morning as I do in evening classes because I usually just get up and go and don't eat anything but that's ok, still worth going!!  I got home and headed down to Niki's for a little bit.  We cleaned up some stuff outside there then I came home and got ready for trivia night.

Haha!! Michael thought he would help us out and hold it for us....not really the point!!  You could see his arm in every single picture and you can see the remote in my hand!!  Also, we totally got photobombed!!  We were cracking up!!

I was not ready to get up when my alarm went off, I had a little too much fun the night before!  I stopped by McDonalds for a little pick me up. 

I was headed to the hospital to be a friends support while her Dr. was going to try to turn her baby from breech presentation to head.  Of course, this is where I work and so does she but we were way nervous because neither one of us had ever been in on a version.  I had only heard bad things about them, just how bad it hurts and looks gruesome.  The Dr. was busy that morning so we waited a while for him and then when he finally came it was time to get this show on the road.  Her husband and I stood on one side of her and the nurse and dr stood on the other side.  It was way more painful than what she was anticipating and after two tries he was not successful.  Hopefully the baby will just turn on his own!!

After that, I came home to get ready to meet J for dinner and a movie.  I was supposed to work Friday and he had a race on Saturday so today was our only option to meet up.  We went to see Insurgent...I haven't seen Divergent yet but he was able to tell me enough about it so I could get what was going on.  It was really good but we watched it in 3-D....not my favorite....and if we would of had the choice we would not have chosen 3-D.  After the movie, we went to eat at Cracker Barrel. 

I let him try first this time and he got it down to one, then it was my turn and I only got it down to three.  I tried again and almost got stumped again but he saw a better move and helped me get down to one pin also.  Isn't that sweet??  He has a cold and was really sore from the first race of the season so we called it a night after dinner and hopefully he'll get to feeling better by next week.

Friday

It was such a gorgeous day!!  I loved having the sunroof open and the sun blazing in!!  I am so ready for warmer weather!! 

 

We had such a pretty day on Tuesday!! I was supposed to work a 4 hour shift for somebody right in the middle of the day but I ended up being on standby, I came home and sat outside and read a book then went to the complex behind my house and walked/ran for a little bit and came inside and saw tan lines!! So ready for some real sun and not the kind in a bottle! Anyway, I went to Niki's and then we did a little bit of running around. We watched Gravity later that night, I was so not impressed with that movie!

 

Saturday

I got up and did a little shopping after stopping at Starbuck's first.  It was a really pretty day again so I washed my car while I was out too.

I saw a post on Facebook from a little boutique I follow and they posted about a sale they were having and I saw this dress...unfortunately it was too small.  I looked around but didn't find anything else I was that crazy about.  Of course, when I got home, they posted another dress that was so cute but I didn't see it when I was there!

I got home and got ready to get together with some friends.  I remember St. Patrick's Day weekend always being a fun time to go out and listen to music and dance.

We had drinks and appetizers and then decided to go to a local bar hoping to hear some good music and dance.  The first place we went wouldn't play anything we requested and ended up telling us we should go somewhere else if we wanted to do "the wobble"....I mean, is it to much to ask to do a little wobble?!?  So we left there and went to another bar and they had a horrible band playing!  I'm sure they weren't horrible to people who like that kind of music but all we wanted to do was dance and that was not happening!  Some other people we knew were there so we all just hung out and talked until it was time to close.  We hardly ever get to go out anymore and all we wanted to do was dance and we didn't get to at all.  We decided next time we're just gonna hang out at somebody's house, drink wine, wear yoga pants and wobble!

 

Sunday

The stupid bipolar weather we're having, I woke up to cold and raining.  It was icing by the time I got out of church and continued for a couple hours then switched to snow.  We ended up with just everything covered and it was done before it got dark.  Hopefully this is finally the last of the cold weather we're gonna have.  I need some nice weather so I can start on my new hobby....GOLF!!

I spent the day shopping with Niki & the boys.  We had lunch too!!  We went to Dawson's ball game that night then had pizza and blizzards for supper.  We were all ready to crash that night!!

 

Saturday

I got up and did some shopping.  I had been wanting some dresses that I could wear casual or dress up if I needed to.  I find a cute black one, a coral one and a strapless green one with a design on it.  I also got some cute new flip flop sandals and Maurices's was having a really good sale on jewelry and I stocked up!!!  Later on that night I met some friends out.

I was so excited about the concert tonight that I didn't even sleep as late as I wanted to.  I called Niki and talked to her for a while and we decided what we were going to wear.  (Just like in middle school when you used to call your friends to pick out your outfit for the next day....well 20 years later and we still do it!)  I got up and got ready then headed down to Niki's to get her.  She was finishing getting ready and I still hadn't decided what jewelry to wear.  Then we were on our way!!!  Package tour here we come!!!

I have to say it was the BEST CONCERT I have ever been to!!  They all 3 put on an amazing show and I would totally go see them again tomorrow if I could.  Boyz II Men were definitely my favorite!!  I sang every single song they sang.  When they all stood up there in a row and the music came on for "It's so hard to say goodbye", Niki lost it and then I did.  We never thought it would be that hard to listen to a song but it was.  I can't believe it's already his birthday month, I still think of Chad every day and miss him like crazy.  When I was driving home the night of my birthday, I got in the car and "Over you" by Miranda Lambert was on, then it was "See you again" by Carrie Underwood.  I cried and then I totally knew it was Chad!!

It was a fun filled birthday weekend!!!  I can't believe it's already July!!

Friday
First day of summer!!  Niki & I spent the whole day at the pool!!  Then we came home and hung out and her husband grilled yummy dinner!!  We watched Silver Linings Playbook...it was ok, a little drawn out I think!  I came home and cleaned some because my house was a mess!!!

Saturday
I got up and ran to Target then hurried home to get ready to go the winery for a friends going away party.  It was so hot!!  She was a little surprised to see so many of us there!!  I then had to leave there so I could go help cater a wedding.  It's always fun to do that!  It was done and over with and I was home by 7:30.  I came home and layed on the couch for a while then went and met my friends Abby and Laura out to listen to a band.

I got up and got ready to go to another party for someones retirement and 3 others birthdays.  It was a cookout and it was actually really nice outside for it.  We were able to sit under the shade trees and the kids were able to swim.  I left there to go to another going away party.  They were so surprised when they walked in and saw all the people sitting on the patio waiting for them.

Friday
I worked at the restaurant all day, ran a few errands after work then came home to pack for the weekend.  I headed down to Niki's to hang out with her.  We went to the school for PTA's bingo night.  I won several times, it was a lot of fun.  We came back to her house and finished getting our stuff together for the weekend.
Saturday
We got up at 4am to head to St. Louis for the Color Run.  It was misting rain and in the 40's, we weren't very optimistic for it to be warm and sunny!  We slept a little in the car and were ready to go when we got there.  We were so cold though!!

It was one of the most fun things I've ever done and I'm so glad I got to do it with some of my best friends and sister!!  After we were done, we were really hoping we could check into our hotel early so we could get out of the rain and get a shower.  Niki and I went in to the hotel, we batted our eyes and talked about how cold and wet we were and just wanted a shower....they got us into our hotel before 11am...check in wasn't until 3!  We were so thankful!!!  We all showered and then got ready for the Cardinals game.

She got us such great tickets for the game!!  Our seats were under an awning or we could sit inside.  It was all you could eat and all you can drink!!  It was amazing!!

We headed back to the hotel to change our clothes again so we could go out.  We went to the Big Bang, which is a dueling piano bar!!  It was so much fun!!!

We woke up around 9am and headed back home.  It was still kinda rainy and gloomy....perfect day for a nap that was much needed!!  I did laundry and cleaned my bathroom also then I went and had dinner with a guy I had gone on a date with a few days ago. 

It was one of the best weekends ever!!!!

Friday
Last night I met up with some girls from work who were out.  I was on call at the hospital and I knew I would be the only person  they had to call in but I had a good time anyway.  I had a hair cut earlier that day and Sonja curled my hair...I can pretty much curl it just as good as she can now!

I got up and went to Spin class, washed my car inside and out and then came home to clean some and then got ready for work.  It didn't seem very busy but I made a lot more money than what I thought I would.

After work, I came home and showered then got ready to meet some friends out for my friend Andrea's birthday!!  They had gone to dinner then went to a local bar.  I don't know why but I didn't take a picture with her....she took a picture of Lacee & I though!

Saturday

I worked at the restaurant from 7-3 then came home to changed clothes and go hang out with Niki.  It was such a gorgeous day!!  We hung out and I watched all of Ryker's new tricks...can't believe he's already crawling!  He was so cute!!  We ate tacos for supper then we went to Dairy Queen and I got a blizzard and she got a milkshake!  It was so bad for us but tasted so good...Monday it starts over though and I'm going to kick it in to high gear!  I was so tired, so I came home and read the new People magazine because my favorite Carrie was on the front!!  Love her!!

I slept in then ran to town to return a dress I didn't wear to the wedding last weekend did a little shopping too.  I took this picture when I was leaving my house...

I'm supposed to be starting a 10 day juice cleanse tomorrow with Andrea & Lacee....wish me luck!!  I would love to lose a good 15-20 lbs so I'm thinking this would be a good start!!  I bought all kinds of fruits and vegetables so hopefully I can find some combinations that I like!!

Friday
I got up early and met Niki so we could do some shopping!!  We ran quite a few errands and got to eat lunch.  I had a shirt to return at Maurice's after she went on home then I went to get my car washed.  It was filthy!!  I went to Niki's that night to hang out and eat dinner.  I was falling asleep on the couch early and when the movie that we were watching was over I headed on home to go to bed.

I slept in for a little bit then got up and got ready to meet some friends at the winery.

After the second winery, Runge & I left to meet some other friends at BWW for dinner for our friend Kristen's birthday.  Some of our other friends were at another local restaurant and their wait was an hour for 4 people...we had a group of 20 and got seated right away...so what else were we to do but send them pictures of our yummy food!!!  HA!!

After we all sat around and talked, we decided to go out.  The bar we decided to go to was packed and had a really good band playing.   We had a good time, danced and talked. 

 

Sunday

I slept the day away pretty much and got nothing done today unless you count watching a lot of Army Wives and regular Sunday night shows something??!!??  I work the next 3 days so I should have done lots today....all well, I guess it will be here when I'm done with my work week!!
