Sisters Weekend

We spent the weekend in TN at our sister Katie's house.  We had been trying to do a sister's weekend at her house for months and we were finally able to do it.  We got there on Friday and did a little shopping at Opry Mills mall.  We then went to Katie's and tried to beat rush hour traffic....tried being the operative word there.  I'm sure it would have been a lot worse had it been 5 o'clock but it was bad enough at 3!  We hung out for a little bit then went to eat at 5 Guys and then headed back to the house and played Cards against Humanity.  It was hilarious!!!

On Saturday we all got up and started getting ready.  Lindsay and Cruz got there a little before 10 and then we all headed out for lunch at the Puffy Muffin.

We did a little more shopping and found these fabulous crowns!!  Even Cruz was a little prince!

We came home after because the boys were done with shopping!  We all got comfy clothes on and hung out in the living room.  Katie & I started watching YouTube videos and couldn't get enough!  It was so funny!!  Me, Katie and Michelle ended up getting facial peels.  Lindsay couldn't because she's still nursing and she was the one who brought up the whole idea.  So we got our peels and then got back on YouTube to learn how to do the Whip & Nae Nae!!  This lead to all kinds of videos and then before too long we were all starving!!  We ate dinner and played a game of Taboo and then everybody was so tired, we all went to bed.  

Sunday we all got up and started packing our things up to head home.

I sent this picture to them all when we got home.  This was a little (big) pastry I got at the Puffy Muffin yesterday.  It was so delicious!!  I'm glad Lindsay ate a little part off it...that thing was huge!! I spent the rest of my day writing a paper.  It was such a great weekend!! Can't wait till we can do it again.  Love you girls!!

I came home and mowed my grass and decided to finally plant my rose bush.  So pretty!!

Weekend & Happy Birth Day Cruz

J & I went on a date to dinner and to see The Longest Ride.  We had to make a little pit stop at Lowe's.

The movie was so good, didn't really follow the book, same storyline but very different.  We both really liked it!!

 

I went to work the next day and saw that Amanda & I were twins!  Of course, this was the beginning of my shift and the end of hers and she still looks gorgeous!!

 

My friend Jessica texted me that day and told me she thought she was in labor and was going to be coming to the hospital soon.  I was there to get her started and was there till she had that sweet baby boy at 12:40 AM on Saturday.

I was supposed to get up and go to the gym at 8 but after getting home at 3 in the morning, I just couldn't get up!  I slept for a while then got out and mowed my grass.  I went to hang out with Niki that night.  I talked to Lindsay, she was having some contractions and we were hoping it would be soon!!

 

I got up Sunday morning to get ready to meet J at his house.  I called Lindsay at about 10am to see how she was doing.  I met J for lunch, we went to Barnes & Noble and then went to watch some of Dawson's ball game.  J got to meet Mike at the game.  It started to rain again so we decided to leave.  I checked my phone and had several texts that Lindsay was being admitted!!  I'm sure she'll post a birth story at some point!!

Aunt Krystal just loves him so much!!  I got to spend the first 4 days with him and I cried and cried when I had to leave.  He is just the sweetest little thing and I cant wait to get back to him.

Lindsay's Baby Shower Weekend

Friday
It was hair day and then it was time to head home for Lindsay's shower weekend!!  I can't believe it's already here.  We've only been planning it since September when we didn't even know boy or girl yet!!  We went ahead and had two ideas just in case.  I love love love the shower theme!!  I found one picture on Pinterest and ran with it!!  I wish I would have taken more pictures of it all!!  I met Michelle at the nail salon to get our nails done and then finally made it home.  I talked to mom for a little bit then had to go run some last minute errands.  Luckily the main roads were clear, the side roads on the other hand were awful still!  I made it just fine though, Michelle and I got all the last minute stuff done!  Lindsay came over after work to stay the night and she got there right after I got back.  Mom made dinner so we sat there and ate and talked.

Saturday
We all got up pretty early and the weather was so nasty.  Rain on top of all this snow we already had was not good.  Some people were unable to drive in because of it but we still have a large turnout.

After the shower, my car was packed full!!!

I helped deliver all the gifts to Lindsay's house because not everything would fit in one car.  That baby sure is blessed by all our friends and family!!  We all can't wait to meet him!!  He is spoiled already!!  I didn't stay and hang out very long because the temperature was dropping and I was worried about the roads!  I made it home just fine and was completely exhausted!!  The driveway sucked also and I wasn't about to try to leave and have to drive back up there!!

Sunday

We all went to YMCA Pancake days this morning for pancakes and sausage.  We came back, I loaded up my car and headed back to IL.  Now it's time for the Oscars!!!

Afterwards we went to Jennifer and Jason's house to have a few cocktails and play some games.

Then on the 23rd, I got to watch this sweet little boy while his momma and aunt did their Christmas shopping!!  He slept most of the time and when he wasn't sleeping, he was eating.  Love him!!

Then that night, it was time to celebrate Christmas Eve Eve with the fam!

After all the present opening and eating a little more it was time to get my stuff together to leave bright and early in the morning for work.  I spent both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at work.  I had a bad attitude about it on the drive there, considering I had to leave before 5am and got stuck behind a semi on the two lane and it was raining!!  So annoying!!  All well, we made it fun and had 5 babies both days so we had lots to do!!
