Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

Happy 4th of July!!!

I got up and headed to Evansville for a fun party and gender reveal!!  I was exhausted from working an extra shift this week and lots of heartbreak.  I was ready to relax and hang out with friends and family.

We all ate and hung around for a while longer.  I stayed there and watched fireworks with them.  Their neighborhood had some of the best fireworks!!  It was amazing!!

Jenny cooked breakfast for all of us so I went over there that morning and then we went to a street bizarre and rode around in the jeep.  We went back to Danielle's to get in the pool and I forgot to put sunscreen on my stomach and I'm still feeling the pain.  We had a game night and hung out till we were all old and tired and had to go home so we could go to bed!

Sunday

I just needed to recharge today.  It's been 2 really tough weeks at work with two devastating car accidents that affected our whole department.  I just cleaned, did laundry, did dishes, mowed the lawn and watched some netflix.  I think I can start a new week now that is going to be just as busy but not as heart wrenching.  



Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
First day of summer!!  Niki & I spent the whole day at the pool!!  Then we came home and hung out and her husband grilled yummy dinner!!  We watched Silver Linings Playbook...it was ok, a little drawn out I think!  I came home and cleaned some because my house was a mess!!!

Saturday
I got up and ran to Target then hurried home to get ready to go the winery for a friends going away party.  It was so hot!!  She was a little surprised to see so many of us there!!  I then had to leave there so I could go help cater a wedding.  It's always fun to do that!  It was done and over with and I was home by 7:30.  I came home and layed on the couch for a while then went and met my friends Abby and Laura out to listen to a band.

I got up and got ready to go to another party for someones retirement and 3 others birthdays.  It was a cookout and it was actually really nice outside for it.  We were able to sit under the shade trees and the kids were able to swim.  I left there to go to another going away party.  They were so surprised when they walked in and saw all the people sitting on the patio waiting for them.  

Weekend Wrap-Up (June 14-16)

Friday
I came home and slept for a few hours then got up and packed myself up so I could drive home for the weekend.  I met up with 2 of my best friends since middle school for drinks and dessert!!

I got up and had to get a new battery put in my car and finish up my father's day shopping.  I came home and then me, mom and my niece's went to Danielle's to swim at her house.  We all came home and got ready to go out to dinner for Father's day.

I slept in and then got up and got ready to go to my Dad's to celebrate Father's day with him before I had to go home.  It was a good visit, the rain came and we had to go in.  I left a little earlier than I had planned to go to a birthday party back in IL.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
Today started the Bachelorette Party Weekend!!  I was up early to shower, get ready and pack my car so I could be on the road by 8:30.  I met my sister, Lindsay, at her house and we went to get our toes done before we needed to leave.  We came back to her house and packed up her car so we were ready to leave when everybody else did.  We got on the road around 1:00 and met up with 3 other car loads at the cabin (which I didn't get a picture of) and started to unload everything.  The amount of stuff we all brought with us was crazy!!  We were definitely going to have plenty to eat and drink!

This nice blurry picture was taken as we were trying to show how well we take pictures in the mirror as opposed to teeny-boppers who look like movie stars when they take their own pictures in the mirror.  We blame it on the fact that we didn't have cell phones as kids!!

So after a really late night, we were still up pretty early because we were all excited to get out on the boat!!!

So after a whole day on the boat, we headed back to the cabin and showered and then ate dinner.  We all brought lots of wings, dips, cheese ball, chips and other dips, cookies, cake and so much more!!  We were stuffed!!  Then, Danielle opened up all her gifts that we bought her.  She was a little embarrassed so no pictures of that!!  So much fun!!

We all got up and packed up so we could be out of the cabin by 10am!  It was such a fun weekend and the wedding is going to be here in no time!!  Lindsay and I left and headed back to her house.  We were so exhausted and we ended up napping for a few hours.

I left her house around 4 and headed to my parents house to see them before heading back home.  I hung out for a while and talked to mom about the weekend.  I finally left for home a little after 6. 

It was such a great weekend and probably one of the best bachelorette parties I've ever gone to!!!  So excited for the wedding!!

Venture River

Today Niki & the boys, Joni and myself went to Eddyville, KY to go to Venture River.  First we stopped at IHOP in Paducah for breakfast and it was oh so good!!  After we stuffed ourselves silly we were off the Venture River.  Unfortunately, we were not impressed.  It was nice that it was much closer and a little cheaper than Holiday World but we all decided that next year we will definitely be going back to Holiday World for 2 days again!!  HA!!  We all got pretty roasted.  I look like a lobster!  I took a few pictures half way through the day.

We had a good time and decided to leave around 4 so we could go eat dinner at Olive Garden in Paducah.  We were all looking a hot mess but we didn't care, we wanted salad and breadsticks and anything else that was not healthy for us!!  Definitely back to the working out, eating better train tomorrow!!
