Gulf Shores 2012 {Part 1}

So I know I've been a little MIA from the little ol' blog here but I've been on vacation at the beach!!!  It was fabulous!!!  Now, onto the recap and pictures because that's all we really want to see anyway!  Warning, this will be a little bit of a picture overload!
Saturday

When we got there it was a little cold and very windy!!  There were some threatening clouds but we were all wanting to get out to the beach and check it out.  Nate wanted to get in the water so bad, a little bit of cool wind wasn't going to stop him!

We were walking down the beach and it started raining so we all ran back to the condo before it started raining any harder.  We had already gone to get groceries, so we settled in for the night with some frozen pizza and a little tv.  We had decided to shop the next day since it was going to be windy and cool again tomorrow!

Sunday

We thought maybe it would be pretty to have the ocean in the background....little did I know they were making these faces!  Little do they know that I would be posting it on my blog! We shopped for most of the day and then headed to eat dinner at the Original Oyster House.  It was so good!!  We even bought an entire peanut butter chocolate chip pie to take home with us because it was way cheaper to buy the pie than to buy 4 pieces!  We ate on that pie all week!!!  So good!!!

Monday

We got up and went to the gym first thing!!  We were all wanting to keep each other motivated.   After doing some cardio at the gym we went back to the bigger of the 2 condos and did a workout tape called core fusion.  I talked about it and linked to it on my vlog post from Wednesday.

Finally, after all these pictures, we finally got to go to dinner!  We went to a place called The Hangout and it was excellent.  It was empty so we got right in which was very nice.  After dinner we went to look around in the shop and there was this wall called the wish wall.  We made a few wishes to add!

That's the first 3 days and I think I'll keep the last 4 days for tomorrows post.  I'm pretty sure this was plenty long!!  I go back to work tomorrow and I'm sure that will be a rude awakening!!

Confessional Friday

I confess that I may or may not have packed way too many pairs of shoes for my vacation.

I confess I may or may not have also brought over the limit of bags I am allowed.

I confess that I have bought 3 of the exact same shirt but in different colors.

Said shirts are all colors of the NEON rainbow!

I confess I may or may not be planning on buying a new Coach bag and wallet on this vacation.

I confess that I will be eating my fair share of yummy food this week.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I was scheduled to work at the restaurant 11-7 so I was there right on time and had a pretty busy day but dinner was a little slow.  I'm pretty sure b/c of the rain, so I got to get out of there about 30 minutes early.  I was happy because I needed to get home to get ready for my date {details on how that even came about later}.  The date was wonderful and got to hang out with some great friends, got home much later than I was planning considering I had to be up the next morning by 5 to be at work by 6.

Saturday
I made it into work on time and wasn't nearly as tired as I thought I would be.  My friend texted me about coming in for breakfast {my friends, their kids and the guy I went on a date with} and so they got there at a good time, because we weren't too awful busy and so I got to talk to them for a while.  After breakfast was over I was completely exhausted!  I sat down for a while before lunch started and that helped me get a little energy back.  I was almost done working when my friend Danielle and her fiance got there.  We were going out for a friends birthday that night and Danielle came over to surprise her.  We left the restaurant and came back to my house to get ready.  We eventually were able to get ahold of somebody who was in the group to find out where they were.  They were doing a wine trail and had already been to the 4 wineries and was now back at the beginning.  Needless to say, when we got there it was well known they had already been to 4 wineries!!  She was very surprised and started crying when she saw Danielle!!  It was a fun time but we were ready to leave and get some dinner way before everybody else.

So, the 3 of us headed back in to town and had dinner and had planned to meet back up with them but that didn't work out.  We ended up going to another friends house to hang out for a while.  By the time we got back to my house I was exhausted!  The 2 hours of sleep I got the night before had finally caught up with me and I was out before my head hit the pillow I think!!

Sunday
I slept so hard that I didn't even hear Danielle and Jeremiah leave in the morning to go to the Cardinal's game.  When I got up I went to the gym and ran to the grocery store to get just a few things to make it through my 2 work days.  I had a horrible headache when I got home so I took a little nap on the couch.  I got up, got ready for work and worked all night!!

Craving salt.....why??

Isn't it a vitamin deficiency if you crave salt??  I started to google it and the things that I came up with not as easily defined as I was hoping so I just stopped looking!! 

Maybe it's not a craving and just the fact that I like it and right now I'm eating these.....just for the salty goodness!!

Can I blame craving chocolate on something too??  Like, craving solid milk chocolate with a crisp sugar shell?? 

Yep, these babies will not stay away from me.  I'm still only planning on having this one bag and I will as long as I stay out of Target until they are gone!!  HA!!

Anybody else crave salt and chocolate??

This is week 7 link up but only week 2 for me!  I wish I would have started from the beginning, oh well, better late than never!!  Well, here it is, don't pay attention to the dark spot on my front teeth.  It's just a shadow, believe me, I checked my teeth before and after!!  Enjoy!!  Then head on over to Mandy's blog and check out the rest of the vlogs from this week!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I had to work at the restaurant at 11 this morning.  It wasn't as busy as I would have liked but it was still a good day.  I left a little after 7.  I came home and got ready to meet some friends out for their birthdays.  I thought for sure I was going to be rushed to get ready but I had plenty of time, good thing because I didn't like anything I put on!!  Ridiculous how many shirts I tried on and then still went with just a plain short sleeved shirt.....can we say BORING?!?  All well, it was a fun time!!

I've realized that I either need to cut my hair or fix it different because I don't like the way it looks at all in pictures!  (I could complain about my braces in pictures too but they are temporary and going to be totally worth it!)  I think I just need a little different hair style, I want to keep it long until Danielle's wedding and then maybe I will cut it back off!!  I love love love my short, stacked hair!!  Anyway, we had a good time and hopefully with summer coming we will get to do it a lot more!!

Saturday

I woke up too early (considering I have to work tonight) and decided to go to the gym.  I was there for over and hour and it felt great!!  It was cool and pretty much empty so I was happy to be there!!  Then I went to get some groceries.  I had plenty of time and was not in a hurry....everybody else there must have been!!  People were weaving in and out of aisles and giving dirty looks, it was crazy!!  I got in a check out lane (which were all long and almost every lane was open) and the person behind me was talking about how long it was taking, so on and so forth.  I wanted to turn around and tell her that it was a Saturday and the day before Easter....of course it's going to be busy!!  DEAL WITH IT!!!  Things like that drive me insane, if you don't want to wait, be more strategic in planning when you're going to go.  If this is the only time you are able to go then be prepared to wait!!  PATIENCE!  Well, i made it out of there alive and headed home.  My plan was to lay down for an hour or so before work but that didn't happen because I got to cleaning when I got home and also decided to make my amish friendship bread I had.

I got ready for work and left a little later than normal.  That is never a good idea on a Saturday night because there is always traffic.  The bread was still warm when I got to work and it was so good!!  It was gone in no time!!  The night was busy, I think my mom said it was a full moon.....I would believe it!!

Sunday

Happy Easter!!!  I came home and slept all day and now it's time to get ready to go back to work.



Me?? Vlog??

Ok, my first vlog.  I'm linking up with Mandy from House of Rose for her weekly vlog link up.  I did it last night and I could criticize it till the end of time!!!  I mean look at the first frame....geez!!  I did it on my phone, nothing fancy by any means and I mess with my hair constantly.  I also move my mouth kinda weird for most of it.  All well, here goes nothing!

And I want to add that I am thankful for One Tree Hill.  OTH totally got me through some very sad, very boring days in my last couple of years.  I still, to this day, always have in going in a least one of my DVD players.  I don't know if I will ever get tired of it!!  The series finale is on right now but I have to wait until they put it on the internet so I can watch it.  I'm sure I will ball my eyes out...not ready for that!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I was in such a good mood when I got up!  I got up in plenty of time to get ready to work at the restaurant...that's a rarity!!  I went by the carwash to get my car washed so I was sure it would rain at some point that day.  We were very busy and I was so excited!!   I love busy days at the restaurant, it's the only way I can make a decent amount of money!  I left there and headed home to get ready to meet some friends out.  My friend that I work with has been in a karaoke contest for a few weeks and tonight was the final contest.  There were a group of us there to support her!  It was a fun time and even though she didn't win she did get 2nd place!  I got home way to late to have to be getting up at 4 the next morning.

Saturday
Yep, 4am came way to early!!  I worked at the restaurant again today and we had a busy day once again.  I really hope it stays that way!  I left around 1 and headed to my BFF Niki's to get some orders and money from my Scentsy party.  We hung out for a little bit.  Now that she works I feel like I never see her, she's on Spring Break this week, I think I'm just as excited as they are!!  Her brother was having a cookout so I went with them there.  I'm pretty sure I talked about that last night....
I crashed pretty quick after I got home....I was so tired!

Sunday
I don't know why I always wait until Sunday to go get groceries.  It's always a mad house and people are slow, looking at every. single. thing. in each aisle!!  I have to remember this next week!!  I got a seedless baby watermelon and it is SO GOOD!!  Ok, well it's time for me to get ready for work...just today and tomorrow at the hospital then the rest of the week at the restaurant.  Vacation can't come soon enough!!!

P.S. Anybody found grey couches yet??  I still haven't found them!!
