I watched the Teen Choice awards the other night and when Ashton Kutcher won his award and made his speech, I think people were surprised with what he said!!  I loved it!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I didn't do much today.  I, pretty much, had to roll myself out of bed today because body pump kicked my a** last night!!  (As I'm writing this, I'm still feeling it!)  I went to get groceries then came home and started watching Drop Dead Diva, don't know why I never watched it before!

Saturday
I was supposed to go to the gym but I overslept (or maybe I snoozed my alarm a time or two too many) so I didn't make it.  I made gooey butter cake to take to Jessica's party that night then it was time for me to get ready.

She had been planning this party for about a month and everybody knew there was going to be a surprise!!  I knew Ben had bought a ring because I had seen a picture of it so of course when we got there the first thing I did was look at her hand.  I saw the ring but I also saw a wedding band with it.....she said SURPRISE....we got married Thursday night!!  This party was the reception and they leave for Cancun soon!!  I was so excited for both of them!!!

I got up and straightened up by house and got my things together to go to Niki's for a while!!  I watched A League of their Own, lots of One Tree Hill, some 90210 and Erin Brockovich...gotta love satellite!!

Weekend Wrap-Up (July 26-28)

Friday
I spent the day going back and forth to the DMV trying to renew my license that had been expired for about a month now. 

What a change 5 years makes!!



Once I finally got that taken care of, it was time for me to make my way to Evansville.  I got home and talked to mom for a while then met up with some friends for dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Then I made an ice cream run and went to hang out with my sister for a while.

Choco cremes....my weakness!!  Good thing we don't have a Lic's around here!

Saturday

We all got up early and got ready to head to Holiday World.  It was rainy and cold....not a normal July day at all!!  We made the best of it though, and once the rain cleared and the sun came out it was perfect!!

After holiday world we went to our friends house for a Murray friends get together.  We were way late but we still got to see most of the people and hang out for a while.  It ended up getting pretty cool that night, so they lit the fire pit and we huddled around in hoodies and had s'mores!

 

Sunday

After eating way too many donuts that Mom made, we all packed up and headed back to our different states.  I kept thinking I was on call that night but wasn't so I cleaned and unpacked my stuff and got everything ready for the work week.

 

Weekend Wrap-Up (July 19-21)

I didn't do anything much this weekend that I can recall.  I know I worked that Saturday at the restaurant and was on call on Sunday at the hospital.  
What an exciting life I live!!  HA!!

It was a hard day, I cried too much, I thought about you all day long.

The sadness is almost to much, I miss you terribly.

I know I have you as my guardian angel now, you've shown me a couple of times on my way to work that's for sure!!  I appreciate it!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I slept horribly the night before, like only got an hour of sleep, so when my alarm went off at 7:30 I didn't even felt like I had slept yet!  I got up and went to get my hair done.  After I got done, I met Niki and the boys out shopping.  I had to get some stuff for Niki's supposed-to-be-surprise birthday party tomorrow but I had to wait till she left before I could do it.  My friend Andrea and I ran up to the hospital to see our friend Laryssa's new baby.

I was running on 1 hour of sleep and I was barely making it!!  I got home at some point and watched some tv then crashed and slept till 10:30 the next morning!!

Saturday
I got up and started getting things for Niki's party together.  I was hoping to get things together early so I could go lay out in her pool for a little bit.  I only got to lay in the pool for about 30 minutes before the clouds came and I went in.  I got everything ready that I could then it was time for me to get ready.  She got home and got ready and then people started getting there.  Her husband came out and said surprise then we finally told her that we had tried to plan a surprise party for her but she had made plans of her own and kinda messed up the surprise party....I guess it was the thought that counted anyways!!  I had ordered her gift on Thursday and paid for 1 day shipping but since I ordered it late on Thursday it wasn't processed until Friday and the one day shipping was only on business days so it wouldn't even get here till Monday.....I was not happy!!  All well, it's the thought that counts right?!?

I got up early and got ready for my friend Anne's shower.  I met Danielle so we could ride together the rest of the way.  We talked the whole way there of course!

Once the shower was over, Danielle and I headed back and got stuck in traffic for an hour...we went 2 miles!!  I got home and then went to Joni's for Niki's birthday dinner.  She had grilled and then we had cake and home made ice cream and sugar cookies!!  It was so good!!

After the weekend of bad food, this week needs to be the time to get back on the workout wagon and eating better!!



S0, yeah, I'm a slacker

I know...I've haven't hardly written anything worth anything in a long time.

I've been sort of keeping up with my weekend wrap-ups but that's about it.  I've totally been wanting to write but everything I come up with is either really sappy and sad or just fluff and no substance.  Then I think, who wants to read that stuff or do I want anybody reading this stuff?? 

Of course, I've still been reading my blogs, I'm still addicted.

I knew I didn't have a clue when I started this blog what it was going to be about.  It was just that I was reading so many blogs and I thought I should do it to!!

Hopefully one day I'm going to get back to this little blog and find something worth writing about, but it will probably be once this pretty summer is done and we're back to gloomy winter.

I spent the day shopping with Niki & the boys.  We had lunch too!!  We went to Dawson's ball game that night then had pizza and blizzards for supper.  We were all ready to crash that night!!

 

Saturday

I got up and did some shopping.  I had been wanting some dresses that I could wear casual or dress up if I needed to.  I find a cute black one, a coral one and a strapless green one with a design on it.  I also got some cute new flip flop sandals and Maurices's was having a really good sale on jewelry and I stocked up!!!  Later on that night I met some friends out.

I was so excited about the concert tonight that I didn't even sleep as late as I wanted to.  I called Niki and talked to her for a while and we decided what we were going to wear.  (Just like in middle school when you used to call your friends to pick out your outfit for the next day....well 20 years later and we still do it!)  I got up and got ready then headed down to Niki's to get her.  She was finishing getting ready and I still hadn't decided what jewelry to wear.  Then we were on our way!!!  Package tour here we come!!!

I have to say it was the BEST CONCERT I have ever been to!!  They all 3 put on an amazing show and I would totally go see them again tomorrow if I could.  Boyz II Men were definitely my favorite!!  I sang every single song they sang.  When they all stood up there in a row and the music came on for "It's so hard to say goodbye", Niki lost it and then I did.  We never thought it would be that hard to listen to a song but it was.  I can't believe it's already his birthday month, I still think of Chad every day and miss him like crazy.  When I was driving home the night of my birthday, I got in the car and "Over you" by Miranda Lambert was on, then it was "See you again" by Carrie Underwood.  I cried and then I totally knew it was Chad!!

It was a fun filled birthday weekend!!!  I can't believe it's already July!!

Friday
First day of summer!!  Niki & I spent the whole day at the pool!!  Then we came home and hung out and her husband grilled yummy dinner!!  We watched Silver Linings Playbook...it was ok, a little drawn out I think!  I came home and cleaned some because my house was a mess!!!

Saturday
I got up and ran to Target then hurried home to get ready to go the winery for a friends going away party.  It was so hot!!  She was a little surprised to see so many of us there!!  I then had to leave there so I could go help cater a wedding.  It's always fun to do that!  It was done and over with and I was home by 7:30.  I came home and layed on the couch for a while then went and met my friends Abby and Laura out to listen to a band.

I got up and got ready to go to another party for someones retirement and 3 others birthdays.  It was a cookout and it was actually really nice outside for it.  We were able to sit under the shade trees and the kids were able to swim.  I left there to go to another going away party.  They were so surprised when they walked in and saw all the people sitting on the patio waiting for them.

Friday
I came home and slept for a few hours then got up and packed myself up so I could drive home for the weekend.  I met up with 2 of my best friends since middle school for drinks and dessert!!

I got up and had to get a new battery put in my car and finish up my father's day shopping.  I came home and then me, mom and my niece's went to Danielle's to swim at her house.  We all came home and got ready to go out to dinner for Father's day.

I slept in and then got up and got ready to go to my Dad's to celebrate Father's day with him before I had to go home.  It was a good visit, the rain came and we had to go in.  I left a little earlier than I had planned to go to a birthday party back in IL.
