Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
So, on Thursday night, my phone rings at 7:55 and it's Dawson.  He says "Hey Krystal.  Niki's water broke!!"  I had just talked to Niki a few hours before.  She was taking the boys to their drum lessons and baseball lessons and I didn't want her to be going by herself just in case something like that happened.  Well, her mom had gone with her and when they got home she got out of the car and her water broke.  She told her mom and her husband.  Dawson heard her say that she needed to call me.  So, he called me.  I was told later that night that he was pacing the floor with his hand on his hip and the phone to his ear calling me.  He's a mess!!! 
So, we spent all night Thursday at the hospital awaiting baby Ryker's arrival.  Niki did amazing and he made his arrival on Friday at 12:58 p.m. weighing in at 7lbs 3.4 oz and 20.5 inches long.  It was a completely different experience being the best friend as opposed to the labor and delivery nurse.  Although, the nurse in me came out a few times since I was watching the monitor like a hawk!!

I stayed with Niki that evening after everybody left.  Her husband left to get the boys settled and I stayed with the baby so she could shower and get cleaned up.  It started to storm and the hospital lost power!!  Of course, they had generator power but that was it.  Michael got back and I went home. 

 

Saturday

I was so tired but when my alarm went off at 6am I only snoozed a time or two.  I got up and got ready to go to cheerleading tryouts to judge.  It ended up being a lot more stressful than we were expecting, but Andrea ended up with 14 great girls!!  It's just hard knowing you are breaking some little girls heart by not making the squad.  After that I ran to get groceries and came home to lay down so I was ready to go to work that night. 

 

Sunday

Work was so busy last night so I crashed when I got home this morning.  Slept all day then got up to get ready to do it all over again!!!

Sometimes & Always {#42}

 

Sometimes: I workout either at home or at the gym

Always: This past month I've been a big lazy bum when it comes to working out

 

Sometimes:  I just want to sit in a big bubble bath and read books by candle light and drink wine

Always:  I take a shower, who has time for all of that!

 

Sometimes:  I buy groceries so I can actually cook something for dinner

Always:  I eat cereal

 

Sometimes:  I think I'm still in high school and can cheer and jump like I used to

Always:  I'm sore and hope I can move tomorrow

 

Sometimes:  I have every intention of going to bed early

Always:  I end up taking a short nap on the couch and then stay up til 2am

 

Sometimes:  I just want to go out and buy a new computer

Always:   I just deal with this slow one that I have that still works

Weekend Wrap-Up

I can't believe it's already the last weekend of summer....and it rained the whole time pretty much!!
Last summer weekend wrap-up, hopefully the weather will realize this too!
Friday
I spent most of the day at home cleaning and lounging around.  I got myself ready to go work at the restaurant by 4.  It was a busy night.  After we closed up there, I went to my friend Andrea's house.  She is a teacher and is also the junior high cheerleading coach.  This is her first year teaching and being a coach.  She is having cheer tryouts this week and myself and a few friends are helping.  Tonight we were learning the sidelines and cheer for tryouts.  This brought back so many fun memories of cheering and I miss it so much!  Can't there be cheerleading workout classes or something??  Those might actually be something I go to!!  Anyway, the night consisted of several bottles of wine and lots of cheering!!  So excited about teaching the girls this week!

Saturday
I worked at the restaurant from 6 to2 and even though I was really tired, I was in the mood to shop.  I ran by Dillard's and it was packed!!  I thought that meant there were lots of good sales but that wasn't the case.  I'm pretty sure everybody was shopping because of the rainy weather.  I didn't find anything and I was a little disappointed.  That is so unlike me to not find anything!  Maybe I will get to go on a girls weekend at the end of the month and do some shopping then!  I came home and took a short nap then went to Niki's to eat dinner and hang out with her.  We watched the Lucky One and it was so good!

Sunday
I slept in late and then got up and finished some laundry and cleaned the kitchen.  I was so far behind in blogs, so I sat down and got caught up!  Now it's time to eat something and then get ready for work.  It's my holiday to work at the hospital. 
Hopefully, next weekend I will have lots of adorable pictures of baby Ryker to share!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
Today started the Bachelorette Party Weekend!!  I was up early to shower, get ready and pack my car so I could be on the road by 8:30.  I met my sister, Lindsay, at her house and we went to get our toes done before we needed to leave.  We came back to her house and packed up her car so we were ready to leave when everybody else did.  We got on the road around 1:00 and met up with 3 other car loads at the cabin (which I didn't get a picture of) and started to unload everything.  The amount of stuff we all brought with us was crazy!!  We were definitely going to have plenty to eat and drink!

So after a really late night, we were still up pretty early because we were all excited to get out on the boat!!!

So after a whole day on the boat, we headed back to the cabin and showered and then ate dinner.  We all brought lots of wings, dips, cheese ball, chips and other dips, cookies, cake and so much more!!  We were stuffed!!  Then, Danielle opened up all her gifts that we bought her.  She was a little embarrassed so no pictures of that!!  So much fun!!

We all got up and packed up so we could be out of the cabin by 10am!  It was such a fun weekend and the wedding is going to be here in no time!!  Lindsay and I left and headed back to her house.  We were so exhausted and we ended up napping for a few hours.

I left her house around 4 and headed to my parents house to see them before heading back home.  I hung out for a while and talked to mom about the weekend.  I finally left for home a little after 6. 

It was such a great weekend and probably one of the best bachelorette parties I've ever gone to!!!  So excited for the wedding!!

Dear Baby Ryker,

Dear Baby Ryker,

Hello, this is your Aunt Krystal or KoKo (also known as your Momma's BFF).  I'm not going to be available to you this weekend so if you can hold on tight in there and wait till I get back, I would really appreciate it. 
On the other hand, your Momma is ready for you to make your grand appearance sooner than later (as long as you are ready)!!  So sometime before Monday is what she is hoping for.
Also, you're Momma's beloved Doctor leaves to go out of town Monday, so if you're ready, COME ON WITH IT!!
If it's going to be sometime after Monday, then we are going to need you to wait until Labor Day!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I got up and had lunch with Niki after her dr's appointment.  I did a little shopping and got some errands done then headed to work at the restaurant.  It was a really busy night!!  I was exhausted so I went to bed early.  Unfortunately, I was awake at 2:30 Saturday morning and could not go back to sleep!
Saturday
Since I was up so early, working that day was so tiring!  We had a really busy breakfast and a slow lunch.  I was so ready to leave when my shift was over.  I came home and fell asleep for a few hours then got up and got ready to do something!  Abby and I decided to go out for a little bit to listen to a band.  It was an ok time so we decided to get something to eat and then ended up back at her house and watched The Hunger Games.  It was so good!!
Sunday
I got up and headed to Paducah to meet my friend Lacy and her family.  We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel after church then Lacy and I went to David's Bridal so her daughter could try on the flower girl dress for Danielle's wedding in October.  She was a total doll and loved dancing around in all the mirrors!!

After we got her dress and everything, we stopped at Pier1 and Kirklands.  Madelyn was so good and was singing in the car...it was so cute!!  We went back to their house and hung out for a while there.  It was a really good day!!
