My Birthday Weekend

Friday

It was finally the day of Lindsay's 30th Birthday surprise party.  I came home that morning and ran errands to tie up the loose ends for the party.  Finally at about 6:00 it was time for the party!!

It's my 32nd birthday!!!

I spent the day with Michelle at my friends house in their pool.  It was so nice!!  We got a little bit of sun and got to relax then we came home to get ready to go out that night.

I wanted sushi and that's what I got!!  It was so good!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

I spent today and yesterday at a conference type meeting for work.  It was about passion for you job, workplace and coworkers.  I got a lot out of it and there were many tears shed also.  It was a great subject and I'm kind of glad they make it mandatory for all employees to go.  I would have gone no matter if it was mandatory or not!  After it was over, I headed on over to Evansville.  We had this weekend planned for prom dress shopping for a while.  Mom made a yummy supper and it was ready when I got there.  We watched Grey's Anatomy after that and an episode of American Idol and then I headed to bed.

 

Saturday

I was awake early but stayed in bed just because I could.  I got up and got ready so we could leave by 10.

Kelsey tried on several dresses at each place we went.  She didn't love any of them, although there were plenty that looked super cute on her.  She was such a good sport about trying dresses on we picked out for her even if she didn't like the way they looked on the hanger.  There was only one that I remember that none of us liked on her.  After we did that, we stopped and got ice cream then went to Lindsay's house to hang out for a while.  We played with the cats and did a little JustDance and it was time to head home. 

Michelle, Maddie & I decided to go to the mall for a little bit to find some new pants for Maddie.  Michelle and I went in to Dillard's and they just happened to be having a sale...extra 40% off already reduced prices.  We both got a new pair of shoes!!  I had been wanting a pair of booties all winter and I finally found some that I liked and wouldn't cost a fortune.  I love me a bargain!!  We got back to the house and I left again for a friend from high schools going away party.

We all left a little bit after that.  Maddie had left her tablet in my purse so I went by their house to drop it off.  I stayed for a little bit to play with the kitties and then headed home.

 

Sunday

The bad weather had started sometime early this morning.  I got up around 7 and got my things together so I could drive home before it got any worse.  The roads in Indiana were worse than those in Illinois.  The rain/sleet stopped about halfway through my trip and when I needed my windshield wipers again they were frozen and were of no use.  I eventually made it home and this is what my car looked like....

It was so pretty and clean before this too!

It only took me about 30 minutes longer than normal to get back but I was so glad to be off the roads.  I didn't plan on going anywhere else till having to go to work on Tuesday!  I watched several episodes of the Good Wife and took a nap and not much else.  It was a lovely lazy day.

I may have even squeezed in a little online shopping!!

Weekend Wrap-Up (Dec. 20-22)

Friday

Last night, I went to a small concert with a friend from work.  Easton Corbin!!!  We stood the whole time and there were annoying girls in front of us but it was still fun. 

Tonight, I had a Christmas party to go to that was rescheduled from earlier in the month.  An ugly Christmas sweater party!!  I had all kinds of ideas on what to wear but then I never made anything and tried to do something last minute and it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to so I just ended up borrowing a sweater from a friend!!

I got up and drove home for all the Christmas celebrations!!  I went to my nieces basketball game and then headed home to get ready for Christmas as my little sisters house.

It was hair appointment day and I sent this picture to Lindsay after.  It was an early morning for me and I needed coffee!!!

 



 I met my friend Brooke for lunch at McCalister's, I haven't gotten to hang out and talk to her in a while.  It was so nice to catch up even if it was a short visit.  I went back to Carbondale to do some shopping.  I went to TJMaxx and bought nothing, Party City, the mall and Kohl's.  I found a few things at Ulta too!!! 

I went home to start getting ready for a halloween party I had that night.  I didn't know where the party was so I met up with some friends to catch a ride.

I slept in and then got up and got ready for my friend Danielle's wedding.  She is one of my co-workers and was marrying one of the only guys we work with!!  HA!!  They were both smiling from ear to ear all night.

It was pretty cold out there.  We were all sitting pretty close together and it was better.  We ate dinner then it was time to cut the cake.  Danielle had asked me to cut the cake and Trish helped me.  The reception was outside at a small lodge/bar and people from the bar were coming out and sneaking pieces of cake!!  HA!!  Some people have nerve!!

We left a little bit later because it was so cold!!  I met up with some friends at a restaurant and then we went to a bonfire/halloween party.  It was cold there too but they did have a fire.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I woke up early on Friday so I could work at the restaurant for a little bit.  After I left there, I ran some errands to finish up some stuff for a friends bachelorette party tomorrow.  Of course, I decided to do a litte DIY at the last minute.  I came home and started on that project then ran to Target.  I ended up spending way to much time there but not very much money!!  #winning  I came home and finished cleaning my house since some of the bachelorette party was going to be at my house tomorrow. 

Saturday
I woke up early because I wanted to go to my friend Niki's, oldest son's parade that he was marching in but it was raining so I didn't go.  I went back to sleep and got up later to start getting ready for the party.  I still hadn't decided on what to wear so I went to Maurice's to see if I could find something I like better.  I'm loving their skinny jeans/jeggings or whatever they are called and I had a coupon, so I bought boots too!!  I have been looking for new boots for a while and haven't found any that I totally love yet and these are adorable!

The glasses were my last minute DIY.  I put a ringpop, tylenol, a glow bracelet and gum in each one.  I didn't take a picture of them all sitting there but I think one of the other girls might have.  I thought they turned out really cute.  I saw them on pinterest here.  We then left here and headed in to town to go out and do some dancing.

At the first place we went, we were dancing and I saw Emily and had to have my picture taken with her!!  She taught Niki & I how to put eyelashes on correctly on YouTube!!  I immediately sent this picture to Niki because I knew she would be just as excited!!

I was very happy to wake up and not feel awful like I did after the last bachelorette party I went to.  I didn't have any plans for today so I just cleaned up what was still left out from the party and just watched some tv.  Lindsay sent me a text saying that she had bought me something and I get this picture.....
