We started off the weekend right Friday with a little swimming and taco nachos with margaritas!

Niki & I got up early and headed to Chesterfield to shop before Dawson's game.  Vera Bradley was our first stop and the sale was amazing!!!  We shopped for a few hours then headed to the ball game.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

Happy 4th of July!!!

I got up and headed to Evansville for a fun party and gender reveal!!  I was exhausted from working an extra shift this week and lots of heartbreak.  I was ready to relax and hang out with friends and family.

We all ate and hung around for a while longer.  I stayed there and watched fireworks with them.  Their neighborhood had some of the best fireworks!!  It was amazing!!

Jenny cooked breakfast for all of us so I went over there that morning and then we went to a street bizarre and rode around in the jeep.  We went back to Danielle's to get in the pool and I forgot to put sunscreen on my stomach and I'm still feeling the pain.  We had a game night and hung out till we were all old and tired and had to go home so we could go to bed!

Sunday

I just needed to recharge today.  It's been 2 really tough weeks at work with two devastating car accidents that affected our whole department.  I just cleaned, did laundry, did dishes, mowed the lawn and watched some netflix.  I think I can start a new week now that is going to be just as busy but not as heart wrenching.  



Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

I had to work all day then went to Niki's parents house for their oldest sons 13th birthday party.  It was a cool night so we sat around the fire for a little bit and then I headed home because I was so tired.

 

Saturday

I got up and finished packing, went to Body Pump then headed to Evansville.  I ran some errands once I got into town.  I got to the house and this pretty little kitty was happy to introduce herself!!

Michelle and Madison came over.  Michelle & I went to lay out for a little bit by the lake while Maddie went for a little drive.  I can't believe she is old enough to even do that!!  Katie got there and joined us for a little bit.  We all came in and got cleaned up so we could celebrate Katie's birthday and Father's day with Gerry.

After that, we were all hanging out downstairs and I said we should start watching some old home movies.  He got it all hooked up for us and we watched them for hours!!  We laughed and laughed and I wanted to cry at some of the videos of the girls when they were so little!  Their little voices were so darn sweet!!

I went to do a little shopping before we all went to Dad's to visit with him. I didn't buy much, which was good!  I really want to do one of those challenges where I go the whole month without spending any unecessary money!  Maybe next month!

I would have loved to be on this boat that day!! 

We got to Dad's.  We all sat outside under the tree in the front yard, ate a little lunch and just talked.  He opened his gifts and cards and then we went to walk around the farm.  The girls took this for a little drive around then Maddie drove the jeep for a little bit.  I headed home around 5 so I could get home at a decent hour since I had to work the next day. 

Memorial Day Weekend

Friday

I spent the day getting ready for the weekend, running errands, doing some shopping then coming home to get ready for a date.  After my date, I had planned on driving to my sisters to stay for the weekend.  I got there around 10 and we stayed up and talked till about 11:30 then finally headed to bed. 

Saturday

We got up and talked a little bit then went for a walk downtown.  We walked down by the river and then stopped by a little coffee shop and got these yummy treats....

We came back to her house then got ready to go to the ball field to see my BFF's middle boy play in a ball tournament.  It was going to be a hot day!!

We watched him play ball then went back to her house to shower and change so we could all go out to get something to eat.  We ate at a local mexican restaurant and they had some of the best guacamole I have ever eaten!  After we got done eating, we went back downtown to the new park that is down by the river.  That park is amazing!!  The boys had so much fun!!

We then walked to Coldstone Creamery (or creamstone coldery as my BIL called it) and sat there and ate some ice cream then we all went home to get ready for some more ball games tomorrow.  My sister and BIL had some friends that had just recently moved and were having a bonfire and some people over so we went there.  We all had a good time talking, having some drinks and playing some games.  I crashed when we got back to the house. 

Sunday

We got up and once again got ready to go watch some ball games.  Michelle and Maddie met us there and his team "short gamed" the other team so we were only there a short time before that game was over and they didn't play again for another couple of hours.  We went to get something to eat then met them all back down at the park so the boys could play for a little bit.  We don't have anything like this kind of park where these boys are from so they were all pretty excited to play here.

They played 4 games that day including the championship game.  They were 2nd out of 16 teams and came home with this huge trophy!!  They played really well!!

We left the ballpark a little after 8 and I was on my way home by 8:30.  It was quite a long drive home but I made it before 11 and went straight to bed!!  I had to work the next day.

 

Monday

They called me for standby and I took it, I was so tired.  They only had 2 of us stay home but I never got called in...at least my house is clean and all my laundry is done!!
