Lindsay's Baby Shower Weekend

Friday
It was hair day and then it was time to head home for Lindsay's shower weekend!!  I can't believe it's already here.  We've only been planning it since September when we didn't even know boy or girl yet!!  We went ahead and had two ideas just in case.  I love love love the shower theme!!  I found one picture on Pinterest and ran with it!!  I wish I would have taken more pictures of it all!!  I met Michelle at the nail salon to get our nails done and then finally made it home.  I talked to mom for a little bit then had to go run some last minute errands.  Luckily the main roads were clear, the side roads on the other hand were awful still!  I made it just fine though, Michelle and I got all the last minute stuff done!  Lindsay came over after work to stay the night and she got there right after I got back.  Mom made dinner so we sat there and ate and talked.

Saturday
We all got up pretty early and the weather was so nasty.  Rain on top of all this snow we already had was not good.  Some people were unable to drive in because of it but we still have a large turnout.

After the shower, my car was packed full!!!

I helped deliver all the gifts to Lindsay's house because not everything would fit in one car.  That baby sure is blessed by all our friends and family!!  We all can't wait to meet him!!  He is spoiled already!!  I didn't stay and hang out very long because the temperature was dropping and I was worried about the roads!  I made it home just fine and was completely exhausted!!  The driveway sucked also and I wasn't about to try to leave and have to drive back up there!!

Sunday

We all went to YMCA Pancake days this morning for pancakes and sausage.  We came back, I loaded up my car and headed back to IL.  Now it's time for the Oscars!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I met my friend Brooke for lunch today at McAlister's.  We hadn't gotten to hang out in a while and we spent a good hour there just talking and catching up.  It was so great.

I had a hair appointment that afternoon but I wasn't written down in her book and we had to reschedule it for next week.  I went back to my house to pack up and head to Evansville for the weekend.  I went with my parents to a high school football game.

It was really fun to be there and talk with my niece through the whole game.  They didn't win but we had a good time anyway. 
Saturday
I got up early, had coffee with mom then headed out to try to find something to wear to one of my best friends baby shower we were having for she and her husband that night.  I found 2 at Kohl's and it was actually pretty easy.  I'm usually not that lucky!  I got my nails done and picked up a last minute gift then headed home to get ready.  Lindsay and Ty were coming over before so we could go to the shower together, then Michelle, Kelsey and Maddie came over also to give me my senior picture of Kelsey.

Sunday

I went over to my sisters house to practice on Kelsey's hair for homecoming.  I stayed there for a little bit but was getting tired and knew I needed to get home.  I came home and was supposed to mow my grass but was too tired!!  I did some laundry, made potato soup and then got my stuff ready for work this week.

I spent they day shopping, running errands and enjoying the sunshine!!  I worked that afternoon for a few hours and it was like the flood gates opened when I got there. They said I wasn't allowed to work Friday afternoons anymore if I was going to make it that busy!!

How funny is this!!!  I seriously laughed out loud!!

I went to wash my car and it ended up being an all day affair because it took me two different car washes to actually get a semi clean car and then came home and got it squeaky clean!!  I love a clean car!

I slept horribly the night before, like only got an hour of sleep, so when my alarm went off at 7:30 I didn't even felt like I had slept yet!  I got up and went to get my hair done.  After I got done, I met Niki and the boys out shopping.  I had to get some stuff for Niki's supposed-to-be-surprise birthday party tomorrow but I had to wait till she left before I could do it.  My friend Andrea and I ran up to the hospital to see our friend Laryssa's new baby.

I was running on 1 hour of sleep and I was barely making it!!  I got home at some point and watched some tv then crashed and slept till 10:30 the next morning!!

Saturday
I got up and started getting things for Niki's party together.  I was hoping to get things together early so I could go lay out in her pool for a little bit.  I only got to lay in the pool for about 30 minutes before the clouds came and I went in.  I got everything ready that I could then it was time for me to get ready.  She got home and got ready and then people started getting there.  Her husband came out and said surprise then we finally told her that we had tried to plan a surprise party for her but she had made plans of her own and kinda messed up the surprise party....I guess it was the thought that counted anyways!!  I had ordered her gift on Thursday and paid for 1 day shipping but since I ordered it late on Thursday it wasn't processed until Friday and the one day shipping was only on business days so it wouldn't even get here till Monday.....I was not happy!!  All well, it's the thought that counts right?!?

I got up early and got ready for my friend Anne's shower.  I met Danielle so we could ride together the rest of the way.  We talked the whole way there of course!

Once the shower was over, Danielle and I headed back and got stuck in traffic for an hour...we went 2 miles!!  I got home and then went to Joni's for Niki's birthday dinner.  She had grilled and then we had cake and home made ice cream and sugar cookies!!  It was so good!!

After the weekend of bad food, this week needs to be the time to get back on the workout wagon and eating better!!



Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
This week was so crazy busy for me!!  I left work late and then went to Hobby Lobby to get a few last minute things for the shower.  I got home so I could sleep for a few hours then got up and started do some finishing up of decorations and food.  The 3 of us that were hosting the shower met up at the place so we could go ahead and decorate.  That was so nice, it let us be a little less stressed about tomorrow.  We realized we needed some more table cloths and other random items.  After we took {3 hours} to decorate I went to see Niki at her mom's house.  She needed help on what to wear to the shower.  We hung out there for a little bit and then I went home.  I still had so much to do!!

Saturday
I was up at 8 so I could finish up some food and then get ready to head down to the shower.  We used up the entire 2 hours before the shower that we were there!  It turned out so well!!!

The shower was done and after all the cleanup we were all exhausted!!  I went back to Niki's house to help her unload and go through everything (I didn't get to actually see much of what she got since I was writing everything down).  We had so much fun going through it all!!  We left and went to her mom and dad's to hang out because the a/c at their house is broken. 

Sunday

After coming home last night and cleaning some, I slept in pretty late!! I had quite a bit more cleaning to do today so I got to it.  One of my best friends, Lacy, texted me that afternoon.  On her way home from St. Louis with her family, they were making a pit stop in Marion.  I met them and got to hang out with them for about an hour.  It was such a nice surprise!!  After that, it was more cleaning then I watched the Bachelorette!!!  I <3 1F Jef!!!
