Weekend Wrap-Up (July 17-19)

I spent Saturday mowing my grass (with several breaks because it was super hot) and then came in to do homework. I then went to lay out in the pool.....all by myself.  It was so quiet and rather boring.

Sunday I worked on homework for like 5 hours but I finished it up so I could turn it in!  Then I decided to paint my own nails....not too bad but they lasted 2 days and were all chipped.

4th of July

We started off the weekend right Friday with a little swimming and taco nachos with margaritas!

Niki & I got up early and headed to Chesterfield to shop before Dawson's game.  Vera Bradley was our first stop and the sale was amazing!!!  We shopped for a few hours then headed to the ball game.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday

Happy 4th of July!!!

I got up and headed to Evansville for a fun party and gender reveal!!  I was exhausted from working an extra shift this week and lots of heartbreak.  I was ready to relax and hang out with friends and family.

We all ate and hung around for a while longer.  I stayed there and watched fireworks with them.  Their neighborhood had some of the best fireworks!!  It was amazing!!

Saturday

Jenny cooked breakfast for all of us so I went over there that morning and then we went to a street bizarre and rode around in the jeep.  We went back to Danielle's to get in the pool and I forgot to put sunscreen on my stomach and I'm still feeling the pain.  We had a game night and hung out till we were all old and tired and had to go home so we could go to bed!

Sunday

I just needed to recharge today.  It's been 2 really tough weeks at work with two devastating car accidents that affected our whole department.  I just cleaned, did laundry, did dishes, mowed the lawn and watched some netflix.  I think I can start a new week now that is going to be just as busy but not as heart wrenching.

Memorial Day Weekend

Friday

I spent the day getting ready for the weekend, running errands, doing some shopping then coming home to get ready for a date.  After my date, I had planned on driving to my sisters to stay for the weekend.  I got there around 10 and we stayed up and talked till about 11:30 then finally headed to bed. 

Saturday

We got up and talked a little bit then went for a walk downtown.  We walked down by the river and then stopped by a little coffee shop and got these yummy treats....

We came back to her house then got ready to go to the ball field to see my BFF's middle boy play in a ball tournament.  It was going to be a hot day!!

We watched him play ball then went back to her house to shower and change so we could all go out to get something to eat.  We ate at a local mexican restaurant and they had some of the best guacamole I have ever eaten!  After we got done eating, we went back downtown to the new park that is down by the river.  That park is amazing!!  The boys had so much fun!!

We then walked to Coldstone Creamery (or creamstone coldery as my BIL called it) and sat there and ate some ice cream then we all went home to get ready for some more ball games tomorrow.  My sister and BIL had some friends that had just recently moved and were having a bonfire and some people over so we went there.  We all had a good time talking, having some drinks and playing some games.  I crashed when we got back to the house. 

Sunday

We got up and once again got ready to go watch some ball games.  Michelle and Maddie met us there and his team "short gamed" the other team so we were only there a short time before that game was over and they didn't play again for another couple of hours.  We went to get something to eat then met them all back down at the park so the boys could play for a little bit.  We don't have anything like this kind of park where these boys are from so they were all pretty excited to play here.

They played 4 games that day including the championship game.  They were 2nd out of 16 teams and came home with this huge trophy!!  They played really well!!

We left the ballpark a little after 8 and I was on my way home by 8:30.  It was quite a long drive home but I made it before 11 and went straight to bed!!  I had to work the next day.

 

Monday

They called me for standby and I took it, I was so tired.  They only had 2 of us stay home but I never got called in...at least my house is clean and all my laundry is done!!

Weekend Wrap-Up (July 19-21)

I didn't do anything much this weekend that I can recall.  I know I worked that Saturday at the restaurant and was on call on Sunday at the hospital.  
What an exciting life I live!!  HA!!

S0, yeah, I'm a slacker

I know...I've haven't hardly written anything worth anything in a long time.

I've been sort of keeping up with my weekend wrap-ups but that's about it.  I've totally been wanting to write but everything I come up with is either really sappy and sad or just fluff and no substance.  Then I think, who wants to read that stuff or do I want anybody reading this stuff?? 

Of course, I've still been reading my blogs, I'm still addicted.

I knew I didn't have a clue when I started this blog what it was going to be about.  It was just that I was reading so many blogs and I thought I should do it to!!

Hopefully one day I'm going to get back to this little blog and find something worth writing about, but it will probably be once this pretty summer is done and we're back to gloomy winter.

Friday
I got up and had a hair appointment early.  She made me blonder for summer and then curled it with a new fancy curling iron...I love it!!  I did a little shopping then came home and packed up so I could go see T and then be able to leave in the morning to go home.

Saturday

I headed home for my nieces graduation party.  I stopped by Donut Bank, not that I needed to but they sounded so good!!  And they were totally worth every darn calorie!!

After we cleaned up from the party, Michelle and I and two of her friends went out to a place called RocoBar.  We sat on the patio and listened to music and ate some appetizers.  The guy singing was really good, wish we had more of that kind of thing around here. 

Sunday

I slept in then got ready for my cousins graduation party.

I left the graduation party around 5 to head home.  T had been on the boat all weekend with his sister and nephew and they were on his way back to his house.  I went over there and met his sister and nephew.  We played some basketball and I was horrible at it.  I never claimed to be a ball player, just a cheerleader on the sidelines!! 

Then it was Memorial Day and since T's boat was broken I spent the day hanging out with some friends and cooking out.  Much, much better than last years Memorial Day weekend!!
