The Royal Wedding

So I was not up at 4a.m. to watch the wedding but I did get up at 7 and now they are replaying some of it!  OOOH the hats!!!  I want to go to the Kentucky Derby just so I could wear a hat like them!!  (all photos courtesy of google)

The inside of the church.....absolutely gorgeous!!!  Can't even imagine!!  PERFECT!!!  And that aisle!!!  I love how all the guests were facing in towards the aisle!

Her dress, her hair and tiara!!  The tiara was borrowed from the Queen, how awesome is that!!??!!  I love that Prince Harry watched her walk down the aisle!!

I'm pretty sure this is every little girls dream....maybe even this big girls dream wedding!!  Beautiful!!  Even though this was a very grand, amazing wedding, I'm definitely looking more forward to the wedding of these two coming up next weekend!!!

Midweek Randoms

-Popcorn with garlic powder was my dinner tonight
-Tomorrow will be my last day of work until after the wedding
-3 baby bunnies are living outside my apartment and I took some pictures of them last night (but haven't taken the time to upload them to my computer yet...can we say LAZY??)
-I started watching One Tree Hill again, I'm currently on the 3rd season
-I have several blogs written but never plan on actually posting them
-I feel like time is flying by
-I have so many things on my todo list but just keep running out of time (or money)
-I really need to make a dermatologist appointment but I'm scared of what they will tell me
-I'm so so SO excited to get to hang out with my mom and sisters all next week before the wedding
-The rain can stop anytime now!  Everybody else agree?
-I was hoping to work at KB's this Saturday but no such luck, although I do get to cater that night!
-I think I'm going to continue to grow my hair out at least through the summer.  I've never actually had long hair.
-10 days Lindsay....almost to single digits!

11 days

Yep, 11 days till the wedding and I am still dress-less.

It's been altered once and getting altered again.  I was hoping she would call today for me to come try it on again but no such luck.

I work the next 2 days and then it's all about the wedding.

Hopefully I'll have a dress by then, although I guess I could always go and buy this...

I mean, it is the right color and I am one of the Maids of Honor so I can be different right??

Weekend Wrap-Up (on Wednesday)

I worked all day, a very busy day. 

Saturday
Woke up to my phone ringing at 5:10 a.m.!!  I overslept, I was supposed to be at the restaurant to open at 5a.m.!!  I had set my alarm for p.m. instead of a.m.  I got up and made it there by 5:33 with clean hair, fresh makeup and brushed teeth!!  SUCCESS!!  It was an ok morning.  After that I headed to get my nails done (I'm loving this new shellac) and then back to Marion to pack and then meet Laryssa to head out of town.  We had so much fun driving up there and talking the whole way.  Once we got there the girls were already out at a place in town that you have to get to early so you can get a table.  The place is called Fast Eddies and boy were we surprised when we got there!  The place was huge and completely packed and it was only 5:30 when we got there.  We took a couple of pictures...

We told some guy that it was Laryssa's 21st Birthday and he gave us $20 to buy her a beer! 

This guy came up to Brittany and asked if she was single, of course she is not but he asked if she would take a shot with one of his buddies.  She did and they were gone for several rounds of shots and then finally came back to our table with more shots.   

Then the guy wanted to use my fancy shmancy camera and this is the picture we got! 

Sunday

After about 4 hours of sleep we all got up and started getting ready for the shower.  Andrea is getting married in June and this was her first bridal shower.  She had a great time and got lots of nice things!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I worked and boy was it busy!!  I just love my job so much so even the busy days are great!!  I drove home to Evansville after work so I could be home a little longer than just some of Saturday and some of Sunday.  I talked on the phone the whole way home so the 2 hours went pretty quick! 

Saturday
Woke up to rain, rain and more rain.  It quit shortly after though and I headed out with Mom to do some errands with her.  It was very sunny and very warm by that time!  We came back home and sat out on the back patio for a while and soaked up some sun.  Kelsey was coming over later while her mom went to work so we made plans to do some shopping and get dinner.  We headed to Bed, Bath and Beyond first to get a bridal shower gift for my cousin Jennifer's bridal shower tomorrow, then hit Gordmans, TJMaxx and Target.  We didn't find any great deals but I did find a very cute shirt.  We kept looking at dresses for Kelsey's graduation but nothing was in her tiny size.  She was cracking me up looking at all of them!!  I kept asking her where she wanted to eat and she never would decide so I decided for her and picked Chick-Fil-A!!  Of course I did!!!  YUM!!!  It was so good!!!!  Then we went by Lic's  to get ice cream and then headed home and watched Teen Mom for the rest of the evening.  So much fun getting to hang out with her!!  Loved it!!

Sunday
Spent the morning at home watching TV and looking through the paper.  Then it was off to my cousin Jennifer's bridal shower.  She's getting married 3 weeks after my sister Lindsay!!  It was beautiful and I'm so excited about her big day!!

After the shower we went back home and hung out for a while then I headed back to IL.  I, once again, spent almost the entire trip on the phone so it went by quick.  (Thank you friends who let me talk to you the whole way so I don't get bored!)

So exactly a month from today my beautiful baby sister is getting married!!  She and my mom have been planning this for so long and it's finally going to be here!  I can't believe she's going to have a different last name than all the rest of us.  CRAZY!!!  I am so happy for her.  I know she is so ready for this day to be here and to spend the rest of her life with her love!!  I can't wait to have all the fun posts after the wedding.   It's going to be fabulous!!

Lindsay's Bachelorette Party

 So instead of doing a whole weekend wrap-up I'm just going to do a post on Lindsay's bachelorette party because that is what my weekend consisted of!!  We all had a BLAST!!  She had girls coming from 4 states so we all just planned to meet in Nashville at the hotel at 3 when we could check in.  I met Lacy in Paducah, we loaded up her car with all our stuff and hit the road.  We talked and talked and talked then we finally listened to some music and sang along then talked some more.  GPS took us on the scenic route we're pretty sure but we still got there before the other girls even after we tried to find a Chick fil a but had no such luck.  We got all checked in and the party began!!  I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story for the night! (and there are a LOT of them!)

We came back to the hotel after we ate dinner and had some drinks and did a little lingerie shower for Lindsay.  She got so many cute things!!  We hung out at the hotel for a little longer then headed back downtown to go out and do some dancing!!

And our last group picture of the night.  Half of the group was exhausted and the other half of the group was still dancing.  Great night!!  We finally made it back to the hotel after 3am!!  We all settled in and called it a night.  The next morning our room started waking up around 8 so we all got up and headed downstairs to the lobby for breakfast.  After that we all got showered and packed up and headed out around noon.

 So we were all going on about 4 hours of sleep so when Lacy and I got back to her house we layed around and watched some Jersey Shore and maybe took a little nap too.  Her husband and little girl Madelyn got home a few hours later and she was ready to play!!  We played and played and played and she didn't even make me get off the couch!  She just kept bringing me toys including barbies.  That girl loves her barbies!  We went and got some dinner then I finally had to head home.  I was so tired on the way home but I just stayed on the phone the whole time so that helped!!  Only 33 days till the wedding!!  So exciting!!
