Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I had a nail appointment this morning then came home and went back to sleep.  I've been watching the last season of Private Practice on Netflix.  I had been watching it during the regular season but it got on my nerves and I quit, so now I'm finishing it.  I'm glad I am because I am liking it. 
I talked to my BFF later that afternoon and we decided to get pizza and hang out at her house that night, which is our usual friday night!  I picked up the pizza on the way down to her house and we all enjoyed that and hanging out.

Saturday
I did a few house duties today, you know, laundry, dishes....blah blah and then it was time to get ready for work.  It was a good work friends birthday so some of us brought some food and cake to celebrate her.  It was her 30th and she had to work so we were just trying to make it a little special for her.

Sunday
I came home from work early this morning and was hoping to sleep a little extra before I went back in tonight, of course, I was up way earlier than I wanted to be.  Got ready and headed in to work.

Only one more weekend scheduled to work next month and hopefully I'll be done with them after that!!

The other night at work, we just happened to have a very s.l.o.w. night and there were a lot of breaks and talking about Pinterest. One of the girls had just made this lotion and shared it with all of us. We were all passing it around and using it on our legs. They were so amazingly soft and shiny I just knew I had to make some too!!  

This is what I used

16oz Baby lotion

8oz Vitamin E cream

8oz Coconut Oil

Cute jars to put it in 

I made it just like a cake!  Put all the ingredients in a bowl, mix and spoon into jars.

The coconut oil should not be melted or it will separate out of the lotion when it hardens.  So, the lotion will have small bits of the coconut oil throughout, just massage it in!

I read somewhere on a blog or pinterest about painting a box white and using it to take your pictures...I think I also need natural light and a tutorial on how to use my camera!!  The darn flash, I can never get it right.  It's either too bright or not bright enough, very seldom do I get the right in between!

Just a little treat

This just happened!

Yep, I finally bit the bullet and bought myself an iPad.  I saved my Christmas money and used some of my tax refund to get it...haha, like I'm still a kid!  Well, money used to burn a hole in my pocket when I was a kid so now that I'm an adult I like to think I do better!  HA!!!

I knew I was getting one so when I saw this on clearance last week at Target, I snatched it up quick!!
I worked last night and I'm on call tonight.  I had time to make dinner so I made a pork chop recipe from pinterest {come find me krystal308 }, green beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread!  The green beans and mashed potatoes were good, the pork chops were ok and the cornbread was not good.  I thought it tasted kind of funny so I looked at the date on the box and they were a little past the expiration date....woops!

Friday
I worked at the restaurant all day and then came home and watched more Scandal.  Do ya'll watch that show??  I love love LOVE it!!!  I'm finally caught up with the most recent episode.  I didn't do much else that night because I had to be up early to work the next day.

Saturday
I worked all day then met up with Runge to make good on my bet!!  We bet on the Indiana vs. Illinois game and since I lost I had to buy his sushi lunch.  I then went to Dillard's to

I came home and took a nap then felt like doing nothing!!  I ended up doing some cleaning but that was it.  I started watching Private Practice again.  I had watched it during the regular season in the beginning but ended up not keeping up with it so I started where I left off.  I haven't gotten really into it yet but all the talk about Addison wanting a baby makes me want to vomit!  I say that stuff all the time!!  Geez...

 

Sunday

I got up and decided to meet some friends at the winery.  I had plans to do nothing today, but since I did nothing all weekend, I changed my mind!  I met them at a place called Walkers Bluff.  There was a really cute guy there with another guy but I didn't have enough nerve to say anything to him.  I kept catching his eye every time I looked over at him, I should have just gone over there but didn't.  He left before we did so I missed my chance, my huge, long, 2 hour chance I had!  #scaredycat  We went to get something to eat then went to hang out at one of our friends house.

Friday

I spent the day getting my nails done and doing some more shopping.  I didn't find to many other good deals so I went home and took a nap.  Oh how I love naps!!  I then went to have a slumber party with my BFF.  We ate good junk food and talked a lot! 

Saturday

We got up and got ready to go to Dawson's last basketball game.  I hadn't gotten to see him play yet....way to wait till the very last game, right?!?  I, of course, brought my camera and took some pictures of him playing.

I went home after the game and got ready for work.  I got standby for a little bit but was called in by 9pm.  I worked all night.

Since I started late, I caught myself up by putting the money in for each week that has already passed this year.  That brings my total up to $21.00

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I got up and got ready for my hair appointment at 9.  It had been 11 weeks since I had my hair done and I was way past ready for it!!  (She had a baby so I guess I'll forgive her...haha)  I sent this OOTD picture to my little sister.  Yep, it's a zoomed in iPhone picture because I was too lazy to set up my DSLR and take a decent picture...I was in a hurry!!  HA!!  It was so cold that day so I wore a coat over it all day but whatever...

It was so great having my hair blonde again!!  I met Niki in town to do some shopping and didn't buy anything fun. 

I thought my dryer was going out earlier this week, so I went to Lowe's to check out new washer and dryers.  I found a set or two that would work just fine but decided to go home and see if I could clean out the vent and see if that would make a difference.  I stopped by Wal-mart and got groceries and stuff that I needed for super bowl Sunday food then went to a high school homecoming basketball game.  High schoolers look way older than me and my friends did when we were in high school!!

 

Saturday

I worked at the restaurant till about 1:30 then went to Target.  I came home and went to clean out my dryer vent.  This is what I found....



I'm thinking this was maybe the problem.  It was huge!!  When I took it off the back of the dryer I got another big lent ball too.  My mom informed me that I need to clean this out more often....yeah, I'm pretty sure she's right!!  I did some laundry and yep, it made a huge difference!!  

I went to Niki's and we watched the IU vs. Michigan game.  It was an exciting game, of course, with a fabulous Indiana win!!!  Hoo Hoo Hooisers!!!

 

Sunday

I made the food I was taking to the super bowl party and headed down to Niki's.  I made potato soup, buffalo chicken dip, meatballs and turtle tassies.  We had so much food!!

We watched the end of the game and ate way to much food!  I didn't take a picture of all of it, but we also had gumbo, veggie tray, pickle dip, little wienies, cheese dip and brownies!  Super bowl is always a great food day. 

I came home and cleaned up my house and then did my taxes.  Gag me!!  It's no fun being a grown up sometimes.  Hope everybody had a great week!!
