Wedding Day - Preparation

We're finally to the wedding day!!  I was so excited for this day!!  The bride, myself and 2 of the bridesmaids stayed at my parents house so we all got up and showered so we could be at the salon at 9a.m. for hair appointments.

I wanted a big poof...this is how it started!  All the other bridesmaids were saying that I was more of a Maid of Honor-zilla because I was so particular about my hair!  I knew that these would be pictures that are going to be around for EVER and I wanted good hair!!  I know, I'm a brat!  In the end, I L-O-V-E-D the front of my hair, the back didn't really matter!!!  HAHA!!  I apologized to the girl who was doing my hair ahead of time.  I was very nice though and she did/changed everything that I asked.  As I'm walking over there to sit in her chair my older sister and one of the bridesmaids apologized to her as well!  I hope I wasn't that bad!  They all got a pretty good laugh at my teased out hair pre-poof!

After we all had our hair done Lindsay got her makeup done and then we headed back to the house to eat some lunch a have a cocktail or 2!  Then we were off to Sweetwater Events Center for the ceremony.

There are pictures of her getting laced up as well but I will have to add those in later!  After she was all in her dress and garters and shoes on and bouquet in hand, she was off to take pictures and the rest of us all got in our dresses.  We had an assembly line going so we could all lace each other up!!  After that we all met back up with Lindsay and had lots of pictures taken ourselves.  Then we were off to hide in the kitchen so nobody saw her before the ceremony started.

Wedding Week - Friday

YAY!!!  It's Friday!!!  We, of course, woke up early and got ready for our pedicure appointments at 9a.m.  We were so excited and looking forward to this since Lindsay got engaged!  HA!

The owner of the place made us cute little drinks.  Orange juice, pineapple juice, sprite and grenadine....YUM!!  After we all got our pedicures the 4 of them all got their nails done.  I've been doing the shellac so mine were already done.  After that Katie and I went to Sun Tan City so she could tan and I could get a spray tan.  I love that place and wish we had one close to me here!!  I should open a franchise!!  I loved my spray tan!!  Then Katie and I went to the mall to either find her a new dress or a slip to wear to the wedding tomorrow.  We ended up finding her the cutest black dress at Dillards!!  So we finally made it back home and it was time to start getting ready for rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner.

After rehearsal and dinner we headed back home to try to get some sleep before the big day tomorrow.  Can't believe my baby sister was getting married the next day!!  I can't even begin to count how many times I said that!!

Wedding Week - Thursday

We were able to get into the reception hall at noon today to start decorating so we had a few hours to kill that morning.  I went to the tanning bed and it was a total waste of time and money because I had never tanned at this place and had to pay a fortune to lay in a bed that I wasn't even going to get anything in!!  No happy about that!!  Anyway, I got back home and we had to start loading up all the decorations for the reception.  It ended up being 3 carloads full but we got it all there and we were all just a little bit tense!  Haha!!  Lindsay had to run by her work to pick up the table skirts and then met us there.  It took us 4 1/2 hours but we got it done and it looked beautiful!!!!!

We had a lot of fun decorating!!  We ran home to change clothes and meet the rest of the family.  We got home later that night and were all pretty tired.  I fell asleep watching TV.  The early mornings were catching up with me that's for sure!

Wedding Week - Wednesday

Mom and I got up and ready then headed into town to run all kinds of errands!! First we went to Ella Park to pick up the tuxes because they weren't in yesterday then went to Hallmark and then to get groceries. We stopped in at Applebee's to get some much needed lunch in between. Mom decided to make spaghetti for dinner so Michelle and the girls came over to eat with us. Lindsay got back later that evening. She had her hair extensions with her and I wanted to see what they would look like in my hair. HILARIOUS!!!!

As you can see they don't really match!!!  I found some that would match and just need to order them!!  Of course, mine won't be that long, I have to get them to blend a little better with my hair!  We didn't do much more that night but knew that the next 3 days were going to be super busy!!!

Wedding Week - Tuesday

This was day one of waking up way to early!  We didn't have much to do for the wedding today but still plenty to do.  Michelle came over and Me, Lindsay, Michelle and Mom headed up to Ella Park Bridal to pick up Lindsay's dress and 2 of the tuxes. They had to hold it on their laps in the backseat because it wouldn't fit in the trunk!!  We got it home safe and sound and hung it up in Mom's room.  I was a nervous wreck about getting something on it of course!  Michelle went on home and then Me, Lindsay and Mom later went to Madison's track meet.  First we went to McDonald's to get some coffee because we knew it was going to be cool!

It ended up being cooler than cool, it was freezing cold that night and Michelle even went to get us some blankets but we were still cold.  Madison's event was second to last so we were there for quite a while waiting and watching everyone else run.  She did so well though!!  We finally left and headed home.  Lindsay went on to her house for she and Ty were planning on getting the marriage license the next day.    

Wedding Week-Monday

I had to redo this post (and still have to redo Tuesday's) because it was deleted from blogger being down.

So we did a lot last week with the Wedding so I figured I would just do a post for every day and then with the wedding I might actually have to split it up.  I took 864 pictures this week so I'm sure you can just imagine!! 
I was able to pick up my bridesmaid dress the Sunday before, good thing because I was leaving the next day on Monday.  I took the interstate home, which I have never done, because of the flooding.  I still made good time and was home in plenty of time to go with Lindsay for her hair trial. Lindsay and I headed to get her hair done and mom met us up there later.  We then all went to the mall to try to find Lindsay jewelry to wear for the wedding.  She finally found some that she liked (after going to all the stores in the mall) and it is beautiful!!  After that we went home to eat dinner, mom made roast and potatoes in the crockpot!!  It was so good!  Lindsay & I then went to Michelle's so I could dye her hair and Lindsay could finalize her music for the ceremony.  I made her bouquet for the rehearsal out of all her bows she had gotten off presents from her showers. We hung out with her and the girls for a while and then I started falling asleep so I figured we better head on home.  We stayed up talking for a little bit and then finally went to bed!! 

Mother's Day

Don't worry I have a whole weeks worth of posts all about the Wedding that will be coming up soon....probably at least one later on today!!

Sunday I got to spend all day with my mom!!  Even though we spent the entire day cleaning up wedding decorations and putting them all in boxes to store.  I'm pretty sure I have the best mom ever!!  I have no idea what I would do without her!!  She has always been there when I need to talk, cry, rant and rave, laugh and anything else.  Thank you Mom for always being there for me, I love you!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday
I had a hair appointment at 9:45 and love my even more blond hair do!!  I love being a blonde!!!  I spent the rest of the day at home then went to my nail appointment at 3.  It was so pretty all day but didn't have anything good to do outside.  Spent the rest of the evening at home...watching One Tree Hill.  Such an interesting life, I know.

Saturday
**1 WEEK**
Woke up way to early.  Spent a little time at the gym then got ready for a catering job that night.  The catering job was a lot of fun and the food was so good, as always!!  After that I went to Niki's house and then we all went to Runge's to watch the fight.  I learned what GSP meant....haha!! 

Sunday
Went to church then came home and watched a movie, "The Switch" with Jennifer Aniston.  It was really good.  I'm pretty sure it came out last year or maybe even the year before that.  I called the lady who was altering my bridesmaid dress and finally got ahold of her so I went and picked that up.  I was very happy to try it on and see that it fit....finally.  Now just spending the rest of this rainy Sunday on my couch and packing for the upcoming week and all the festivities!!!  Next weekends weekend wrap-up will be much more eventful and packed FULL of pictures!!
