So I watched these movies tonight with some of my BFF's.....

Both of them were HILARIOUS!!! The only thing about the Hot Tub Time Machine was the language......WHOA.......a little too much F bomb for me!!

The Number 3

As I'm sitting here watching TV, I all of a sudden realize how much the number 3 has shown up today (and pretty much everyday for some things) so I decided to blog about the craziness of it!!

1. This is my 30th post
2. I now have 3 followers! YAY!! HAHA!
3. Channel 3 is the only channel that actually comes in.....I'm too cheap to get satellite right now
4. I have 3 sisters
5. I work at least 3 days a week
6. I just finished 3 years of nursing school
7. I have had 3 cars so far in life
8. I always take 3 drinks to work with me (2 bottles of water and 1 diet mt dew)
9. I have my ears pierced 3 times
10. I have 3 remotes sitting next to me

SEE what I mean?!?! Things just kept popping into my mind about 3's!! This is definitely random but it just all of a sudden popped in my head and I thought......blog about it!!

Yes, I lead a rather boring life and this is what I think about. You gotta remember though, I only have one TV channel! It's at least ABC so it has good shows. I watch a lot of movies and tv on dvd now....thanks to blockbuster in the mail!! I read a lot too!! That is one thing I have gotten to do a lot of now that school is over. I really need to be reading books from school though because I will be scheduling my NCLEX (RN boards) soon so I can start my new job!!

Ok, enought randomness! Tomorrow is FRIDAY!! YAY!!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

One of the girls that works in the ER with me is leaving for another job so we had a little going away get together for her. We started out at Buffalo Wild Wings then went to a bar where there was karaoke! Here are some pictures from that night!

Saturday I slept in, cleaned up the apartment and got ready for work. It was my last time to work 3p-3a and I was so happy!! That shift is really hard for me, I definitely like my 7a-7p days much much better. It was a pretty good night so I was happy, pretty uneventful, yay!!

Sunday I got up, got ready, packed and headed home to Evansville. My friend Becca and her 2 little girls were home for the weekend while her hubby worked. I got to see her at another friends house to swim along with my friends Danielle & Jenny and my sister Lindsay (I thought that would make it just her name but who knows!) Yes, I'm still figuring out the fancy blog stuff, any help would be much appreciated!! We all hung out for a while and got to talk which was so great! I miss that time so much!! It's times like that I want to move back to Evansville. Bec had to get the girls home for dinner and stuff. Me, Lindsay and Danielle stayed and chatted for a while longer then we all headed home too. I was alseep on the couch by about 9:30!! I went on to bed and of course couldn't sleep so I layed there and watched TV for a while and thought about Kelley Jo, thank the Lord she is ok!!! Love that little girl to death and her momma too!! Of course, my mind was running with all kinds of things so I didn't fall asleep till almost 1! I wish I could just turn it off sometimes!!

So, that was my weekend! Hope everybody had a great one!! Hard to believe this is the last week of July already!

Now the main event of the weekend!! The day started off kinda cloudy so I was nervous but it ended up being FABULOUS!!! Got up and started the day by talking to my BFF Niki and then got my stuff together for the events of the day. I made peanut butter cookies to take and some chips and dip. Had to go get a card (how I could have forgotten a card I have no idea!) and then headed out to Mike & Niki's. We went on to his Mom's house to swim and drink with friends and hang out till our dinner reservations at Wineaux's.

After the pool we went to get ready for dinner and going out afterwards. We had a blast swimming and having "diving board competitions"!! It was so fun and got some sun also! Then the 6 of us, myself, Mike & Niki, Eddy & Charlene and Runge left to go to Wineaux's. We met Chad & Brian & Beth down there for dinner. So good!!

We then headed back into town to go out and of course had a blast. Then the night ended with a trip to Steak N Shake!!

Needless to say today has been a lazy day!! Here's to another fabulous week of summer!! Hope everyone elses weekend was just as great!

Just another monday....

So, it was just another monday here at my little apartment.

I got up and went to body pump (YAY me!!) and made it through the whole thing even though my legs were still super sore from friday. I made myself go to the gym sunday just so I could walk on the treadmill hoping that my legs would loosen up a little bit, maybe they did and maybe they didn't but I'm definitely not near as sore today as I had been. I can't wait to start seeing results!! I have to miss the class on wednesday because it's at 9am and I have to be at work at 7am but I'll be there friday!

After that I ran a few errands and then came home to cook something to eat and do some laundry. Work called several times needing me to come in but I working the next 3 days so I really didn't want to so I didn't! I also had plans to go hang out with my friend Deana and her little girl Elly. I still had Elly's birthday gift and really wanted to get it to her before she grew out of what I got her. That would not be the case since one of the pair of pants I got her were SUPER big and will probably still fit her next summer! HAHA!! It was so cute though!! Everything else should be just fine!!

We watched the Bachelorette and talked and talked because we hadn't seen each other in so long!! So nice to get to hang out with her, I miss that! Anyway back to the Bachelorette....seriously, Kirk didn't have a chance compared to everybody else. Now that's not really his fault but I think Ally made the right choice even though we all know something crazy is gonna happen next week because of all the previews they've been showing us about Tahiti! We'll just have to wait and see.

OH!!! I would also like to wish one of my very Best Friends, Niki, a very Happy Birthday!! We are going to party it up this weekend!! Love ya!!

Weekend Recap

My weekend recap is something I'm going to try to do every week. I didn't do much but I did have lots of fun!! Friday I went out with some people from work. One of our nurses is moving away and Thursday night was his last night at work. We started out the night by going to Fugiyama.

We all had a very good time but I hadn't been out that late in a long time so I was very tired and ready to go home!!

On Saturday I had plans to go to Lacy & Jason's house to visit and have dinner with them and a friend of theirs. I was so happy to see them!! Madelyn is such a doll and so funny! She kept us all very entertained and dinner was great. I was so happy to get to visit with them and wish we got to do it more often. All of our schedules are busy so it's harder and harder to get together! Looking forward to getting together again soon! I didn't take any pictures the whole time I was there, I'm gonna have to remember to get my camera out of my purse next time!

Sunday was not so eventful! I don't mind though, it was nice to just lay around and relax. I watched several movies and cried watching every single one. I watched "The Blind Side", "The Guardian" and "A Walk to Remember". I'm sure I'm not the only one who's cried at these movies. I've watched the Blind Side a lot lately but I hadn't seen the other two in forever!! We talked about movies last night so that's what made me watch A Walk to Remember. Love that movie and book!!

Well, that would be my weekend! I'm really spoiled now that I have weekends off and it will probably be hard to get used to working them again once I start my new job. I'm definitely going to just keep enjoying them while I can!!

Body Pump

Today was my first day off work this week, YAY!! I have really been slackin when it's come to the gym and I changed that today. I met one of the PA's I work with at the gym to take a body pump class with her. I've taken several different classes including this one but I haven't taken any in over a month so I knew this was going to be hard!

Hard was an understatement!!! It kicked my butt!!! My legs felt like jello and were shaking everytime I had to squat and that was only 20 minutes into the class! I made it through though and realize that tomorrow will be much worse than today. She goes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I plan on going on days when I'm not working. Next week I'll be able to do Monday and Friday and looking forward to it......sort of, haha!! It is much easier for me to make myself go to the gym if I have a plan and know what time to be there and what time I'll be leaving. I can't help it, I'm a planner!

I am also motivated to lose weight right now so I can look fabulous in a gorgeous bridesmaid dress, Maid of Honor to be exact, in less than 10 months!!

Pretty much obsessed....

Ok, so I'm rather obsessed with the whole blogging thing right now. If there is anyone out there actually reading this you've probably noticed that I've added several that I follow now and I am definitely obsessed with reading these peoples blogs!!


So now, of course, I want my blog to be pretty and unique but just can't seem to figure out how. I'm going to keep looking for ways to do it on the internet. I've gone to several different sites on how to make a "banner" for my blog but I don't have photoshop and all that kind of fancy stuff! I'm gonna keep working on it though!


In other news, (haha) I'm trying to pick up as many hours as I can right now. As much as I want to spend time with my friends and family, I need to work a lot right now also. I bought my first car a little over a month ago now and I still have the same bills that everybody else has so I like to work as much as I can so I pay those and still have extra money to "play" with!

ECLIPSE

So, I finally went to see the movie last night!! Loved it!!! I read the book last summer so I couldn't remember a lot of it but the movie was great!

I texted my BFF and told her that we needed to hang out because I hadn't seen her in over a week (a rarity for us) and she just happened to be out to dinner with her mom and other family members and said they were going to the 8 o'clock show. I was very excited becuase I got off work at 7!! She asked if I wanted to come and of course I said yes!! I've just recently moved to days so I was very excited to actually get to do something after work. That will all change though when I go to my new job in August....I'm okay with that, I'm so excited about my new job!

Anyway, I'm sure I was pretty much the last person on earth to see Eclipse but at least I made it to the theater this time!!

4th of July Weekend

My nice long weekend is now over :( It's back to work for me today and tomorrow and the next day and then I get another long weekend.....5 days this time! YAY!!!

I got off work Thursday and drove home to my parents house. I was rather upset because I had to drive home in the dark for the last part of my 2 hours and that did horrible things to the front end of my car! I've never seen so many SMASHED DEAD BUGS!! The front of my car looked disgusting and I was so sad. Anyway, I got up Friday morning and was gonna start my laundry that I brought home with me and then head outside to wash my car. My mom then tells me that she has already started my laundry and I should get out there and get started on my car before the sun bakes those bugs on there!! So, I did get out there and wash my fabulous car then pulled it into the garage to do the windows, wheels, tires and the inside. Mom came out to help at this time.....because she does it better than me anyway and we finished up my car.

It was so nice outside that we decided it would be a good idea to now lay out on the back patio since we didn't have all that humidity! We were out there for the rest of the afternoon....it was great!!!!

Michelle had to work Saturday morning so she dropped the girls off on her way. Mom made breakfast so Maddie woke me up so I could eat hot donuts!! Yum, probably my favorite homemade breakfast!! I then met some wonderful girls I went to high school with for lunch along with there adorable little girls. We had a great time!! I miss them so much!! We ate at Old Chicago ( I think that was the name of it ....woops) and it was great. I ate the pizza buffet so I was a happy girl!! Gerry, Mom & I ate at a Mexican restaurant that night for dinner....YUM!!

Sunday morning I got up and really wanted to lay out but it was really hot to lay out without a pool.....I sucked it up got out there anyway, with my spray bottle in hand!! Mom joined me later. My parents grilled out that evening for dinner. My grandparents, my sister and my niece came over to eat also. I was in a hurry to get back home before it got dark so I ate and ran!!

It was a FABULOUS summer weekend!!
